the reverb and tremolo segment really captured my attention.

I have the AC 10 and really impressed with the great sound from such a small amp

I played one in the 60s. It had a full rich tone that naturally got thicker and smoothly distorted as you turned up the volume. This one sounded thin and scratchy.

I used one of these but it had an alnico blue speaker in it and a boss ME50 and a richie kotzen strat and the tone was killer

I’m an AC15 man, but our practice studio has an AC30, and w these gorgeous beasts not being light, I’m getting to know the big brother. Vox amps are my very favorites, especially for single coils like these P90s or a Tele. A Telecaster through an AC15 = 🔥

Yes....Vox ACs...15s or 30s seem like they were custom made to be played with a Tele. Funny, besides my standard Tele, I have a '72 Custom (reissue of course) and it has the 2 'buckers and it STILL sounds better than my Les Paul Custom, Junior or V. Those are all of course humbucker equipped but insist on my Fender Twin and don't play well with the Vox but the Tele with humbuckers still does. Same thing with my Strats...I have 2, one of which is a Fernandes copy with a Humbucker in the bridge position and that one sounds good through the Vox. Must be a Gibson thing. They just don't vibe with the ACs, only the Fender Twin. Just to note: I am NOT a Marshall guy. I've never understood the hype

Is this amp good for metal hard rock?
@TheTolaman11 ай бұрын
If you would like to play something like 80’s British hard rock ac30 could be good for you. If you’re searching for metal sound you should better try something from ENGL, Mesa boogie or Marshall with tube screamed pedal.

AC30 great amp but it's too big , too loud , too heavy n expensive , I got AC10 instead n I do love it ✌
@slowhandblues1872 жыл бұрын
AC10 sounds great but you’ll be drowned out if jamming in a full band setting. You’re going to need the headroom and sound dispersion that a bigger amp like the AC30 offers.

@@marcospintor1333 not a Boomer here. Pretty assumptive of you however. I’ll play your game. Unlike you, I know how to tune a guitar. And mic’d or not, 10 watts doesn’t give you much headroom genius!

VOX is good, but only with AlNiCo speakers, so in this case VOX AC30 C2X (X = AlNiCo speakers). With greenback speakers the sound is flat, plastic, cold, on the other side with AlNiCo the sound is more deep, round, warm :)
