My sister in law is from belarus. I went there 3x and found out the following; 70% of belarus population are ethnic Russians who don’t speak belorussian and consider close ties with Russia a must, they also love putin. Most people against Russia are minorities who are from baltics states and poles and western Ukrainians. So Most belarussians love Russia because they are ethnic Russians, in 1950s through 70s millions of ethnic Russians moved to belarus during Soviet Union
