The Series 33 are made in Indonesia and the Series 55 in Korea. I own the red 33, and the craftsmanship, fit and finish are very, very good. I replaced the strings and once they got broken in and stable, I never have to touch the tuners. You can get so many distinct, different tones that it's almost too much to try and remember! But basically I leave both p/u's on and in the crunch mode. No noise, very responsive to pick attack because of the aluminum bridge. I love it!

I just purchased the red one on the right yesterday. It was hanging on the used wall at my Guitar Center. It caught my eye straight away. The finish is just so nice. A deep red and the wood grain is beautiful. The aluminum bridge and tuners are superb. They list for $500 new, and this was $350. Well spent money. The craftsmanship is top shelf. I went over every square inch and could not find a flaw. And the tone is...well...buttery is a good descriptor. I am very pleased with it.

@vileguile4 the answer to your question is VOX Series 55 Guitars instead of Series 33..... Peace

@MrBadAssBoy123 The answer could also be replacing the 2-way with a 3-way. But if this would work there must not be any "artificial" restraint forcing you to buy the more expensive version.

This guitar sounds and looks great! Would you say it has kinda "custom" feel to it? BTW does anyone know what is the tune that's played in the clean mode? Sounds so warm played on this Vox.

Other than simply toggling to the "crunch" mode, what pedals/settings/etc to produce that sound? :)

@DAVET0NE No dude, they are brothers. They are also in a band together

Ok, but how sound the clean pickup in the crunch mode?? There is a total 6 combinations, why you do not test all of them?
@vileguile413 жыл бұрын
nice playing Is there any reason why i couldnt mod this guitar to have all three modes for each pickup?
@ESP777694 жыл бұрын
The 55-77 Series has two independent switches for each pickup. You can have the humbucking mode on the bridge pickup, and switch to the neck pickup instantly on single coil, or humbucking/P-90 mode, vice-versa...

@@vileguile4 I have a goldtop SDC-55. I've played HUNDREDS of all different guitars in my 45 year career. It's the best guitar I've ever played, ever, period!! I'd wish I'd bought one many years ago. Prince was right about how good the pickups were...

I'll take one of these over a Paul.

The demo would have been better if he did not mix slide with picking. We lose the comparison between pickup modes if he does not vary the pickup mode and keep other things the same.

Why does this sound like the guitar is being sold to people who have never played guitar? "Clean/Crunch mode"? Is there an overdrive preamp on the guitar? Also why not show 6 tones rather than these 2? This was just a bad idea
