I love how Vox guitars of the new day have more tone selections! That saves us the hassle of going over to our amps and/or pedals to find a distortion or overdrive setting.

I put two toggle switches SPDT (center on) on my semihollow guitar years ago. However, they select between humbucker (center), split North (up) and split south (bottom). I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of these things, where the coils are actually tapped (really tapped) at different points

I think the demo shortchanges the pickup selections. With the 3 pickup types available, with 3 pickup positions (bridge, neck, both) also....there's a much wider range of sounds that are sure to come out of this thing. I'd like to see that range demonstrated a bit. A lot of people (myself included) are going to look for that range from a good player, so we can see what to work toward.

First impression... This pick-up design could be cool. I haven't tried it yet. But don't ya think it's simpler just to step on pedals to get crunch and lead?? That or switching channels on your amp???

I had the red one on the right. Nice guitar, and the pickups are really crisp, clear and articulate. The only reason I got rid of it was the fact that I just could not get any bottom end from the pickups. I like to chug on the low E string, and in metal, that is a must. The bottom was too tight, too well defined. I know you think that would be a perfect attribute, and it is if your playing jazz. But not metal.

The pickup sounds good, but the 55 I tried in the show had dreadful fret finish. Is this common?

I bought one used. Mint condition. It’s a favorite among my Les Paul, Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars. Construction is beyond belief amazing. This guitar will never get the recognition it deserves.

I've been waiting a freaking year for these things to come out! Should have been intro'd at Namm 2011 not Namm 2010! So far no one shows a demo with how it sounds pluged in, WTF!
