The Moral Letter to Lucilius are a collection of 124 letters which were written by Seneca the Younger at the end of his life, during his retirement, and written after he had worked for the Emperor Nero for fifteen years. (These Moral Letters are the same letters which Tim Ferriss promotes in the Tao of Seneca)

This is free therapy and counseling. It amazes me how we still have same mental problems as the ancients.

one of the most soothing and helpful lines I have heard in my life. Bering rational in the face of fear (=brave, fortitude) is one of the highest virtues a human can obtain. How often do we examine our fears? Seneca makes a point that sounds true now as it sounded back then. This chapter is a deep look into human nature. I reflect and I see the irrationality I have during stress and fear. I am thankful to have Seneca, Epictetus, Platon and all the other great thinkers as teachers for life. Thanks for bringing them alive through your voice and great narration.
