How much fun is this! I can play around with voxsyn all day and come up with endless stuff. You can even tap on the screen or the mic while tapping on the "play" screen. Endless! Thanks again Doug.

Amazing! I was unimpressed with Virsyn's video. Everything sounded dark and garbled. You really demoed this to great advantage. Thanks, Doug.

and what kind of mic are you using for iPad?, you sound so clear.

Thanks Doug, I keep finding great recommendations for apps on your channel, and this was exactly the vocoder I was looking for. Been using the iPad onboard mike and been getting really ropey results. Trying to make samples for Vancouver in gadget, but I think I’m making the samples too long for Vancouver. Thought I’d be able to cut them to size in Vancouver, but seems it’s only got a short sample time. Very new to this so maybe I’m making a mistake somewhere, or the samples need cutting down before import? Thanks man for all your knowledge ❤

great demo! I'm cracking up at your Glastonbury recap in this style! I agree coldplay were amazing. thanks for reviewing this. I've been after a good vocoder for ages. always appreciate the duration you make your reviews, get to hear quite a lot.

Matrix vocoder

Been playing with this. Seems to do everything but your own voice. I just want to sing into it and have midi correct the notes to those played.

Can you insert audio instead of recording your voice?
@Richiewav6 жыл бұрын
can you just use your voice or do you have to play notes on a midi key as well?

is it possible to record your voice from voxsyn, then insert that audio clip into Garagaband?

@TheSoundTestRoom Жыл бұрын
No, this not AUv3, but there is a Pro version that is, here is the App Store link for that version apps.apple.com/gb/app/voxsyn-pro/id1486614433

sorry to sound so dumb. in order to trigger it, you need one of those MIDI keys with a little mike? No one shows how everything is plugged into it... Can I use it with just a mike? thanks

Sounds brilliant. Is it possible to emulate or does this app have onboard the speak & spell effect? Cheers.

I thought one of the first presets I demoed sounded a bit like that, but honestly I haven't tried every preset, there are around 600 so I would guess you could get pretty close, plus you all the frequencies to manipulate and all the effects

Completely unrelated reply - Envelope Reverb by DDMF - iOS audio unit extension. Very nice. Pass it along. Available in the App Store

Good vocoder but how long before it gets removed from the App Store?I hope no time soon.
@SkillipEvolver8 жыл бұрын
why would it? I'm confused
@hamfunkproductions6228 жыл бұрын
Why would it get removed? In any event, you can purchase it then copy a backup of the .IPA file using Ifunbox.
@AndrewMarks12788 жыл бұрын
HamFunk Productions Because I remember an app called voice synth which was a great vocoder but it was removed from the Audiobus App Store.
@TheSoundTestRoom8 жыл бұрын
+Andy Marks Voice Synth is still on the App Store and has just been updated and is better than ever and I will be making a demo soon, just search the Apple App Store for Voice Synth, it's developed by QNeo I think and has never gone away, there is even a free version

thesoundtestroom Why was Voice synth removed from Audiobus?
@bobbo924B8 жыл бұрын
Did I hear you say you used this in Cubasis? I'm having my usual helluva time, Doug. Love VoxSyn playing on its own. It doesn't show up in the Routing menu, does show up, oddly, in the effects menu as an IAA. With Audiobus, it seems to interfere with everything. At its best, as an AB source, it will not make any sounds at all, though I can hear the microphone being open. I checked "Follow MIDI" in the settings, which worked fine standalone. Any suggestions would be appreciated; I want to love this. Do you have it working in Cubasis?
@TheSoundTestRoom8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I used Audiobus and set VoxSyn as the input and recorded into Cubasis

Sorry to not jump on the band wagon but I think on the whole this sounds like a cheap toy. I'm still yet to find something on the iPad that comes close to my Roland VP770. Give me a big clear choir where I can actually hear the words and I'll start to get interested. I find most VirSyn products have lovely rich reverb and delays that soup up their average sounding synth engines. Special FX and Robots are cool though, just a shame the choirs are cheese.
