Voyage is a brand new platform by Latitude (the creator of AI Dungeon), and contains several brand new games.

Best Explanation I have seen of Voyager A.I. (The Website leaves a lot to be desired and has a Paywall for these and / or they are in Closed Alpha )

Medieval Problems looks the best in my opinion, it kind of looks like AI dungeon but way more structured.

Yeah, I'd super agree with that. Medieval Problems is like AI dungeon but more structured. Loom is like AI Dungeon but less structured - HAHA The other ones are more like a novelty, but missing replayability and depth.

i think things was pretty fun and interesting too. i think i'd be able to play it (had i had the chance) for like an hour and never be too bored the whole time. but i do respect your opinion.

I think the role of AI should be within traditional games to enhance the more primitive hand-crafted procedural content generation - so as to create a bigger element of surprise for the player. It should not be a novelty gimmick exposed directly to the player as they are doing it currently.

Long term, I super agree. In the meantime though, the gimmicks are fun to try. And I like to support the technology.

What it looks like to me is that these Voyage games are actually a method of crowd sourcing human insight which will be rolled back into their future products. More so the last two featured. The image caption seems to work like image captchas - here's our current best guess for the image in hangman form, is it good enough for a human to figure out? The final one being more of a semantic association graph based thing. I do agree with your sentiments though, the default product AI Dungeon is actually very good with the right author's note 'controls' to mediate the style of the output and a bit of human editting it can produce excellent narratives.

It costs as much as XBOX Game Pass Ultimate now. That's just too much for one AI game and some spinoffs that are basically the same thing...

Totally respect that. I think of it under the premise of supporting something that I know can keep improving. But that's why I made the video, so people could decide if it was worth it to them.

I just discovered Loom a little while ago and that's what brought me here. Almost nothing on KZbin about it and it seems like the coolest tool for writers block. I think I'm actually willing to pay for the service just for that. I don't even care about the other games. Several years ago I was invited to a consultation meeting at a writing software company and they wanted to know what we thought of their product as a service. I told them to create a tool just like this to help with content creation and justify the service fee. They never did it, but I'm glad someone did.

I think the future of AI is only going to create more tools like this to create all sorts of options for AI to be the assistant that makes all kinds of work easier. We are only at the beginning.

Is Medieval Problems still available anywhere? I can't find where to play it.

It looks interesting, but not interesting enough to pay 5 dollars extra in my opinion. Although the games are fun, I think I would get bored with them after a while.

Totally get that, I had the platinum AI Dungeon sub, so free for me to try this out. I imagine that you might be more interested once they open up to creators and there are AI experiences from a bunch of different people. Check back in a couple months lol, while they are in Alpha they need some help.
