These 5 Korean inventions we found at CES 2024 are weird, wonderful, or downright futuristic and absolutely deserve the spotlight!

You mentioned education. I remember a BBC VR production called 1943 Berlin Blitz which combines real historical audio with VR recreation of a Lancaster crew on a bombing run over europe. I remember you reviewing it too. I recommend it to anyone interested in how VR can allow you to almost experience the past. It is free on Steam and Oculus.

Fyi: According to actual peer reviewed papers electro stimulation does not help with muscle growth. It's a false selling point of these devices. There is a whole lot of science behind the reasons why it doesn't work the same as using your muscles yourself, but anyone that wants to know more can look that up themselves. Electro stimulation can also relieve pain, but that's a whole other subject.

7:13 This WHSP ring is amazing considering how it interacts with both your phone and earphone. 12:59 This motion tracking capability is surreal to behold. I don't currently have much thought about it now but I believe it has good potential for consumers. 3:35 I'm a bit sceptical about this suit health safety so I'm not sure what to say about it. 5:28 I want to believe that this arm part or portion of the suit can be used as an auxiliary attachment to pair with your phone to read blood pressure and make diabetic readings. 1:01 I don't know what to say about this tech but it does look interesting.

The electrode suit is extremely interesting. Normally I’m not into that type of tech but I’m curious and wouldn’t mind buying it.

I wish the valve index 2 or deckard was a computer the size and form factor of the H2, with a small cord to a headset the size of the big screen beyond (with inside out and eye tracking). I dont understand why the Vision Pro has a battery on a chord but still keeps processors along with a cooling system bearing weight on your face. Having something on your shoulders could incorporate haptics, keep track of your torso direction for motion, and generally keep all that weight off your neck.

AI Motion tracking would be AMAZING for VRChat etc. Just swap out your base stations with high res cameras, and no more having to charge and wear trackers.

Really interesting tech! Of these, I would be most likely to buy Personal Space if they can get enough content integration. That would be incredible for VR RPG games.

I'm not super convinced about the need to feel cold/heat/breeze/etc. Putting on a headset is quick and easy, but putting on more gear seems too much hassle for most normal cases.

It's a turn off with that name personal space. I don't want any more intrusive technologies in my personal space. Sounds terrible. They gotta come up with another name before I even look into it. VR learning is far less expensive. Absolutely for everything we can imagine. Just ponder the things we can learn from creative minds who think out of the box. Simulations will be priceless
