@@ClownboyBandi Individuals have less resources to verify than a full company would, so I don't think any suggestions I can give would really make a difference for group owners or players, but it's been a pretty normal thing to use cell phone numbers or debit/credit cards to verify age and identity. Those are already tied to a lot of personal information and can easily be vetted, a lot of corn sites already used to age verify that way whenever someone attempted to subscribe.

Google withpersona Security and Privacy Overview then go to, either by scrolling, or ctrl f How long does Persona retain data from individuals? Basically unless anyone from Vrchat opts to create a retention period (i haven't heard Vrchat specifically mention this) the default is to store any data you give persona indefinitely. Persona is a company that gives you a lot of control over your data, so vrchat can simply turn that on from the website and it'd be a lot safer, so i'd really prefer if they did I've heard a lot of misinformation on this topic so please tell me where you get your stuff!

Basically you have the option to hold the data for certain amount of time, or store it forever, vrchat has not announced creating one of these and the default is indefinite. It's pretty easy to make, just a toggle.

While this type of stuff can be done well, Persona keeps all documents and information **indefinitely**, instead of deleting it once processed. There is no reason this data should be stored, especially at Persona. Also, even when you consider the "But what if someone's a criminal and we need to catch them?" argument, VRChat already has your name and bank details if you have VRC+, Plenty enough to catch you, and even without that they still have enough info to catch someone. On a side note, it's incredibly funny to me to see people wanting less government oversight, less of their data being out there, and then just sending in IDs to games to just "get it in" for 10 minutes. TLDR: Please don't do this lol

This is the Dream. However the latency is usually the nightmare. But they did split second rendering over telephone modems back in the 80's during the early days of the internet, it was the only way multi-player would work accurately. A second of delay wouldn't work even for Pong because the ball moves passed the paddle before it gets to the ball every time ruining the entire experience.

Starting next year Geforce NOW are limiting how many hours you can get on Geforce NOW before making you buy more even when you pay the monthly subscription its 100 hours per month. So for now I think Shadow is still the better option.

Creating 'Prints' should be a default feature not a vrc+ only feature. Pictures in resonite already work this way with the exception of displaying them on your profile. Pictures taken with a vrc camera should be able to be shared with others completely within vrc. Ideally physically (like prints)

Agreed; up to this point Plus has mainly been silly "extras" like emojis and stickers, like the equivalent of paying for cosmetics in other games. That I'm totally cool with. Putting Prints behind a paywall feels like locking away a quality of life feature, making it feel a lot less "optional" to get a Plus subscription. I'd love to pay for Plus but I feel like it needs tiers; $5 would be a lot more realistic of a price.

I disagree. You have to think about how features like this can be abused. Imagine joining a public instance and people are throwing these Prints everywhere. Same thing with sprays (I don't have VRC+ btw before you think I'm gate-keeping) Plus, I wouldn't call this QoL because we've been using the built in camera with no problems up till now. This is 100% a premium feature.

@@RadioactiveBowl you are right on! As someone working in IT, I understand that maintaining a cloud server to store high-resolution pictures can be incredibly expensive. Allowing everyone to save 1080p images would only be feasible if their in-game economy was generating enough revenue to support such costs. However, it seems likely they aren’t making enough money to cover those expenses. This is probably also why only VRC+ users get additional avatar slots-it’s another feature that relies on cloud storage, which comes with its own costs.

It's very concerning that Persona demands your unobfuscated ID. This is not necessary and considered a high risk. Sending out your Personal ID unobfuscated allows anyone in posession of that picture to open a business and take up loans in your name. And no, I am not saying that they will do this, but you're sending data over the web and that is susceptible to theft. Having obfuscation is non-negotionable for me. Guess I will not be age verified.

Few things I wanna comment on: Firstly, I am a little disappointed by the age verification system. I understand this if it's not legal to do, but having a way to verify a user is 13+ would be great. As someone who is a minor (15), even I get annoyed at people who aren't even old enough to be on the game according to TOS just ruining the lobbies. Second, I am a little worried about the persistence update, especially with one time purchases. This could turn VRC into another Roblox cash grab platform. Third, I feel like the avatar marketplace could actually be pretty cool if they follow in Roblox's steps. Having you able to buy different parts of an avatar (Like the base, hair, clothes, etc) that are compatible and having the game itself easily put it all together would be pretty great alongside being able to buy the full avatars. Finally, the changes and fixes were the best part of this update for me. Added a little battery life to mobile, laptops, and standalone headsets with the loading screen. All the loading changes for PC are amazing. And performance improvements is what this game DESPERATELY needs. Also, if a dev sees this, I would like to ask whether Ge Force Now works on Quest devices (I use Quest but it's basically just to run Virtual Desktop so I have no idea). If it does, then that would be amazing for people on stuff like the Quest 1 to get nice performance still.

Ge force now does not work on quest, try shadow pc. You rent a pc every month and use virtual desktop to load into it. Also, most VRC avatars are made by community members and there are no standardized "parts" that would easily fit together. Its like trying to put bratz doll clothing on a barbie x1000. as neat as it would be, a system like that would water down the creative freedom we have now. (at least in the near future. Maybe once vrc allows base model creators to sell bases, clothing creators to sell clothing linked to those bases, and an entire framework is built to support automation like that, so on so forth, it may work. but that is a tooon of work and i can easily see it being atleast 3+ years IF they start now, but their priorities are elsewhere.) Your best bet for now is to learn how to use unity and put pieces together manually or to pay someone to do it for you. VRC is a gamedev community after all, so may as well do as the romans do while you're here when you get the pc to do it.

Or, they join, low user made content (worlds) leave. But, next year a performance update will be done, gaining 2X the fps we have now, pulse, new render engine, removing unity, gaining 5x the fps.

@@clienthax whats annoying about it? you bring the .fbx in, click "create avatar" in the menu, get 3 orbs... a headset, and2 hands, place them, hit "Create" and the avatar is ready. Some times you need to re-apply the mats, but everyone that are in public are 100% willing to help with that. You bring the .fbx in, by just dragging the file into the game window

@@clienthax what is annoying about the process? You just drag the .fbx file into the resontie window, and the model imports. Then, on your menu, click "Avatar creator" which then creates 3 orbs. Place the head where the head is, same for the 2 hands, then clikc create and, you done! if the model was made correctly, the textures would load in with it. if not, then everyone that are in publics are 100% willing to help put the textures on! (iv seen some people do it under 5 minuets). Pluse, resonite now has Resonite packages, which allows you to pack pre-made avatars into a file, when you bring it in, its ready to go.

There is information on the wiki. They are using a company called Persona. Your information is not stored or even shared with VRC+

They are flip flopping on the forum. Saying you can ask Persona to delete all your data but then flip flopping say they keep some data to make sure you don't verify an alternate account.

Face mirror is borked. The view point needs to stay centered on the face when you zoom in and out. If I zoom in now it clips my fox ears. If I zoom out, the view also includes my face and arms...which is un-needed...

I was on VR chat just 2 days ago and all my avatar's locked and worked fine now I've logged in today and a bunch of my avatar's now look like PlayStation 2 graphics, it's got something to do with the compression, I looked in my settings and my original compression was 500 MB and I'm on stand-alone quest, now it's been reduced to 40 MB, EVEN WORLD'S I'VE VISITED ARE NOW ALL MESSED UP AND I'M MESSING WITH MY CONTROLS, you can put all the bells and whistles the our chat as much as you like but when it's reducing playability for people with lower end hardware it's completely unfair fix this immediately😢

@@discountaesthetic7165I don’t play VR chat nor in their Discord server, but what I think what MauseDays is trying to say here is that if anyone spoke out about not trusting this whole age verification on Discord, (rightfully so) basically the mods will just silence you and not want you speaking out like that as they probably believe it will ruin their reputation. And honestly, if I spoke out about something like this, the age verification thing and which I don’t find trustworthy as well and they delete my message, then I will take that sign as a red flag and something shady is going on.

This is all really good stuff. Especially the age verification. One thing i think they should fix(hopefully soon, but whenever possible)is the audio bugs on standalone headsets. Where all audio or just voices and not world audio just isnt there

Not buying VRC+ because of high price in my region. I can buy AAA games on Steam sale for price of one month VRC+. VRC should make regional prices if they really wanna make someone buying VRC+. That was from beginning, that's what we have now. Decreasing price to 3-4$ would make it more affordable for regions with higher inflation at this moment. In another hand VRChat not a thing I'm hanging out 24/7, maybe once or twice in month, so paying this high price for me not really sweet, but making it lower will make VRC+ much easier to buy and forget. For example paying each month 9$ it's like buying new game in Steam, i can buy a Palworld for price of the subscription, which makes it horrible idea. I will be happy to support VRC, but it's to expensive for some regions and people who don't really playing VRC that much.

Alot of this stuff is good additions but locking the physical photos behind a paywall even though its a very good system is annoying, saying we were spoiled when half of the stuff you gave us was vrc+ stuff and stuff that should have been here from the beginning is really annoying. i love this game and think the steps being made are good but persistence broke everything for about a week, more clear communication and access to pre release versions of the game could help so many world devs. keep up the development but please focus on
