Argonians have always struggled to have an actual niche in elder scrolls games I wish bethesda would make them a more magically inclined race considering how many argonians images there are in oblivion

Their identity has been stripped away along with the stats they used. When I thought of argonian I thought of medium armor, spears, and waterbreathing. Now I think of waterbreathing

I played an argonian in my first game of elder scrolls. I agree they are not the best race. But it was good role-playing to be different than everyone else.

@@twelvevoltage they need to be a mixture of mage, stealth + spears and a gameplay style that revolves around having the best healing among all races and being able to use projectile weapons whilst swimming at the surface of water

Maybe if the game is set in blackmarsh we could get something called The Grace of the Hist. When used. Once a day, the argonian gets increased +5 to all stats and twice the experience to all stats for a short time. Think of the lovers stone but much much lesser. Just putting some ideas out

@@VressGames Bretons + Attronauch in most TES games Bretons are best for magic resistence builds if you build it with the Attronauch stone that is it most magic users cant harm you it is super useful fav race.

Purely from a stats perspective Altmer (high elf) are objectively the strongest race in the game. Not only because there +100 magicka is easily the biggest benefit of any race, but also because Oblivion calculates run speed based on height and weight. Since Altmer are the tallest, even at an even speed stat with other races, they are still faster. Additionally, their weakness is minor, and can be easily covered up with equipment or something like the atronach birth sign with helmet of the mage and sorcerers ring.

100 resto you can easily give yourself +100 speed/athletics for 60 seconds and have a seocnd spell for +100/100 speed athletics for 30 seconds for super fast sprints when you are on flat-ish roads. Basically restoration makes you so fast the game will crash if you run into a hill. Not worth being high elf.

I dunno, I used water breathing a lot. You can cheese a lot of encounters by getting anything you're fighting under water and having them drown while they're fighting you

The Breton's Magic Resist is just too good to pass up on imo. Offset the Endurance loss with the right Birthsign (Lady or Warrior), and a custom Class, and you're set for pretty much anything.

Yeah that’s a solid setup, probably best for vast majority of scenarios as well!
