Nice!! Thank you a lot! this is very usefull information. I was wondering If you have any tut on how to create a UI with QT for Max~ so it works with Maxscript and such... :)

You can't create QT interfaces with Max script, you will need to use Python for that. I don't have any tutorials as of yet on Python. Something I would love the time to do but it hasn't been in the cards.

You can execute selections too. I'll have to get to my pc to let you know how. Think it saves the selection to a temp file and runs that.

@@paulneale actually directly from MsxPyCOM you can't without changing the source code to create a temp file with your selection and execute it as such. I actually written my own extension based on MsxPyCom that can execute either a full code or a selection(one or multi-line), although making changes to MsxPyCOM isn't hard at all since is cSharp. Sorry for the late reply. Search 'MaxScript Test Tool` in the extension marketplace. It's got a crazy frog gif as its logo.. ha. Well, look at that!!l Base64 encoding and decoding. *Enjoy* Execute the script into 3ds Max Ctrl + E Execute the current line of the script Shift + Enter Execute the script into the selected Max window Ctrl + Shift + E Line Comments Ctrl + Q Block Comments Ctrl + Shift + Q Go to bracket Ctrl + B Select all the contents of the brackets Ctrl + Shift + B Base64 encoding Ctrl + D Base64 decoding Ctrl + Shift + D
