This is exactly what I"ve been looking for in VSDC tutorials. Most are just background music where you try to follow the cursor to see where they clicked, and can only guess as to why. Your work here is SOO much more informative and a better use of my time.

I just downloaded VSDC and upgraded using your discount. All day I have been watching your tutorials and I think I am getting better at it. Some of my videos though are lagging even though I have removed the accelerated option. I had to slow them down considerably to remove that issue. I need to figure out a way how I can make them play correctly. Thanks for your videos. They helped a lot.

Just upgrade my drone to HD with a 3D axis gimbal...getting great footage now. However, I am a newbie when it comes to video editing. Many thanks for your instruction...it's clear and concise. Having been born and raised in Upstate NY...loved the example footage of the Adirondacks too!!! Thank you for this. I've been going crazy trying to figure out the editing stuff as I am really new here. Mainly I wanted an editor that was free, would allow me to add text and voice and would allow me to remove unwanted video. I have 18 years of 2 hour videos I want to break down into smaller parts and put on You Tube to help people learn about RV living and travel and I think this particular series of yours will teach me how to do it with VSDC. Previously I had been using Windows Live Movie Maker but when I had issues with my P.C I was forced to upgrade from windows 2007 to windows 2010 which no longer has Windows Live Movie Maker. I stumbled upon VSDC Free Video Editor online but it was a nightmare for me to navigate it until I had a breakthrough from watching this video. I will watch your other videos in this series. G'Day and Thanks for this Meredith! My wife and I literally have hundreds of hours of GoPro footage that we've never known what to do with. Every editor I've looked at is either incredibly expensive and/or has a huge learning curve. Or is crap. Plus I just bought my first drone, so I need to edit that stuff now as well. Great tutorial video! Far more explanatory than most other videos I've found on the subject. I'm just barely needing to use video editing software for the first time and I hope your video series can help me at least slightly master the basics of VSDC so I can hopefully create minimally adequate video clips. Just seeing your videos - thanks! Just purchased a GoPro Hero 8 Black camera - it appears that GoPro will not be able to help. Although I have no experience, my thoughts are that a simple video should allow one to delete unwanted parts...maybe I was wrong? I'll try to download VSDC and try it.

TY! Every other video I see about this program is from an older version so it's nice to see a tutorial that is for the same product I'm actually using. The reason I got this program is to edit "Green Screen" videos. I hope you have done a tutorial on working with Chroma key. The USDC website has links to an older version which is just frustrating. Great instructional series! I was actually editing a video while I was watching your tutorials and it was super easy! The captions in VSDC is a LOT better then the captioning in GoPro Studio. Thank you for some great VSDC tutorial videos. I got the free version and have been having issues using it. I've been used to Kenemaster on my phone for the last 1.5 years, but felt limited in what I could do. I felt like I needed to use my PC and a more powerful editor. I researched and found VSDC, but most of the tutorials are too quick to follow, yours are SO MUCH better. I just purchased the Pro version, and hope that between the PDF user manual included, and these videos of yours I can start making better videos for my channel. Are you going to show transition effects?

I liked your tutorial but haven't downloaded VSDC. I've been researching many of the editing programs and want to choose the best for my purposes. I would like to create individual movies for each of my family members. Over the years we've taken short videos and photos during family events. I've already had the videos and photos digitized and I would like to assemble a chronological movie incorporating the video clips and photos specific to each family member. I would have to select short video clips from an MP4 movie and combine with digital photos. I do not have any experience with video editing so would like a user friendly program recommendation. I don't mind purchasing one but I've become very confused regarding which program would be best for my purposes. Your video editing recommendation would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you for the information. Do you know if the Paid version comes with the Dolby noise reduction codec for AVCHD video files? This is usually an issues with a lot of free versions of video editing suites. The video plays beautifully, but there is no sound whatsoever. Thanks again for your time and information. Hi Meredith! Thank you so much for uploading this video I am new to KZbin and I am so excited to begin editing my videos. I have a question, the first section where you upload your videos, the section that has transitions and where you can rearrange the videos, there is no sound. Since I use multiple clips I'm having difficulty rearranging the clips due to it not having any sound. Can you tell me how to turn on the sound in that section before I click "apply settings"? (Refer to the 6 minute mark on your video to see what I'm talking about). Thank you!

Nice intro. Just trying to confirm if VSDC supports PROXIES for editing 4K, so scrubbing the video is fast and smooth instead of jerky or delayed. Thanks for the reply.
