I have the same problem with my 2013 it’s in the shop now but I ordered the factory pick up coils

Dude my vstar 650 didn't turn on last night, no spark at all. I checked the coils and have power, I'm waiting for the pickup coil to replace it. Any advice from you?

Just be patient when removing screws holding stator and pick up coil. They hard to remove...u have to use a heating gun or something to apply some heat to the screws...is way easier to remove them that way....hope u can fix ur bike brother!🤙

@@larasgarage2021 I just replaced the sensor and you were right, those screws were a b... to take out but finally I did it. Just one thing the sensor didn't had the same color codes wires and I just wired those by the closest color. The bike turn on but I don't know if this is because is cold start or the wires were backwards but pukes at low rpm

@@antonioaleman805 if u having a misfire yeah wires are backwards...it happens to me....as soon as I give it more gas bike dies or misfires a lot lol....in the pick up coil connector the wire has a little tooth...just press it with a small flat screwdriver and it will come out of the connector....swap it and it should work just fine....
