Great videos! Congratulations on your new bike! 🎉🎉😊 How does the engine heat feel on your legs on these summer days? Is it comfortable to ride?

Your upgrade vids are interesting, and I followed your gen 2 VStrom content with enjoyment- now following your VStrom 800 too! I have the DE, and have been looking at engine/tank guards, so thanks for this one! Do you have a main stand - if not, will you be putting one on -as that will be my first job I think! Thanks again for these comprehensive and informative vids! 😀🙏

Welcome aboard! Thanks so much. I don't have a center stand and look to get one. More upgrades and maintenance videos are coming soon :) . Thanks and ride safe

I had guards on my 650 from that company, very well made stuff. Will we see you doing any touring on her?

Yes I agree, I also had parts from them in my previous vstroms. I have already made 3 trips, 1000Kms each but it was mostly highways and the temperature 39 degrees so it was not helping much hahaha. I will keep that in mind though and plan something. Thanks for your comment.

I have those guards also! Doctor, can you check something for me? You know Vstrom very well - are you able to check whether the chain guard from Vstrom 650 is compatible with Vstrom 800se? I would like to exchange the plastic one for Aluminium, but they are for Vstrom650 and i suspect that it should fit.... ? Thank you!

I would not advise an aluminum one. There have been few damages when the aluminum got stuck in the rear sprocket. Also more weight. What is your goal to change this?

@@DrVstrom My goal was to have better protection, in case the chain snaps. I saw some videos and it looks scary, so i thought the aluminium would protect better then plastic cover and also the design on aluminium looks better. However, I am fresh new biker, and Vstrom800se is my first bike, so, thanks for advise, i will not change it then :)

Yes, it is highly unlikely for the chain to snap or come out if you maintain it right.
