I also installed some of those plastic thingies (today actually) after I had an oopsie at very low speed and I ended up scratching my pretty bars. In my case it's a 1050 and SW Motech bars. I chose some chinesium stuff from amazon and I had to get 1 mm thick rubber strip, because they were loose without. I don't expect them to survive anything more then a tip over at low maneuvering speeds but those are the annoying ones. I hope I never get to use them :) I did repair the damage on the bars first, sanding, polishing and painting. Visually I could have just let the bars like that, actually.

I don't think that in the event of a fall, these sliders will prevent the crash bars from being damaged, especially on off-road

In the video I m talking about hitting a tree branch which caused a scratch. They also are capable being plastic to absorb impacts up to a point while they break. Thanks for your comment

It is a nice detail to have these protectors. On my opinion they work as to disperse the power if it hits something. Also they do have a sliding protection in case you really ride the ferris wheel 🎡😅
