I had a Triumph Tiger 800 XCA 2016 model which I crashed last month. I've been using a hire bike, a 2022 GSX - S1000GT and have fallen in love with the engine and performance, however am not keen on riding position (too sporty), no hand guards or heated grips! The GX model is what I want to get next as it offers the protections required for riding all year in poor UK weather! You video has been very informative for me and appreaciate the work you put in! I can't wait to get this bike and have fun even when commuting! I completely agree that the engine on these bikes, make you want to go faster for the fun factor!

I have owned one for 6 months, I've adjusted the suspension set up, stiffer on the rear softer on the front and changed the tyres to road 6gt and it has transformed the handling and feedback through the bike immensely. It's a great bike but the front brake could be so much better.

I got one recently and agree with the review. A deflector on the screen has improved wind noise and I may look at lowering the pegs one day. I got a Givi top box in the deal but considering its load limitations I wish I hadn't bothered. The panniers are probably better but I'm kind of over having panniers any more. Just a soft bag on the pillion seat or just behind or throw over soft bag would be cheaper and better. It's a lovely thing to look at and to ride. Pillion likes it better than many bikes I've had, so there's that too. It gets better as it's run in and I think it should average 19km/l using cruise control on the boring bits. I ride in A mode, TC 1, soft and auto most of the time.

I'm waiting for the 2025 Yamaha Tracer 9 base model. I really don't see the need for a liter bike. Not only that, but the Suzuki list for over 18 k here in the US. Seems like they could have at least added an adjustable wind screen. I sure hope what I'm reading about the tracer is true. $12,599 for the base model. It's supposed to be the only model we'll get in the US for 2025

That's sad indeed, some countries have huge taxation on certain brands. In Romania the GX is 15 k dollars and so it's not Suzuki's fault.

Congrats for your good reviews! I have seen all of your videos about this bike (and not only). I have recently bought a new 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. It is a very beautiful, high-quality bike. I am 1,88m height and few days ago I did a 30’ test ride on this Suzuki…. What a fun bike that was!!! I know that these two are completely different bikes, but I would appreciate a lot your personal opinion… So would you change a new Tiger 900 RP for this GX ?? (I am 45 years old, tall, 90% road-touring person). Thank you in advance for your answer and keep doing good, analytical reviews.

I was in the market for a Sports Tourer and was choosing between the GSX-S1000GX and the S1000XR. I picked the S1000XR, it costs a bit more but i prefer the aesthetics on the BMW. Thanks for the awesome reviews V-Told!

You should also compare to Versys 1100.

@@kannermw The versys 1100 doesn't compare to the s1000xr.
@kannermw21 күн бұрын
@ Depends what you want sport or tourer? Buying based on top end power is over-rated. Versys has comparable torque and power up to 9000 rpm but better in rev range below 3000 rpm. Also, much less engine vibration. From a practical standpoint and long distance riding standpoint that is much more rider friendly. The Versys is definitely more of a true tourer. Suzuki even says a top case should not be mounted and from that perspective it is no go.

@@kannermw I was mainly after a comfortable sport bike and the S1000XR is the perfect fit. I was considering the M1000XR but the wait time and price was too much. 201bhp on a tourer doesn't make much sense too. Because of scarcity the price difference on a S1000XR M package and M1000Xr in my country is the price of a ZX-10r 😂

Hi, you did not test ride the GSXS1000GT?
@VToldsMotoShow21 күн бұрын
Hi, no, I haven't tried that bike as it appears as too sporty for my taste.
