Bought my 09 Vulcan 900 Classic 3 seasons ago and have no regrets. I sometimes go on long rides,so I invested in a used Mustang seat w/backrest for my bad 73 yr old back, grip puppies and a throttle lock, removable wind shield, and Viking bags, horns and pegs on the crash bar. Took her down to West Texas last Nov. where the speed limit is 80 on most roads and had 0 issues. (I'm 6-2 210 lbs) Always get 39-40 mpg. Doesn't leak a drop of oil, nor burn any at 10,000 miles.

@@stevebeard4117 Thanks for the info. I personally think the Japanese Bikes are bulletproof. The 900 LT is a gorgeous Bike. They had a 2024 Kawasaki 900 LT next to the Honda Rebel 1100. The 900 was less money. Both brand new.

I made my own 6th gear on my 2026 & 18 Vulcan 900 CLASSIC LT’s by installing Barrons 2 tooth larger 34t drive pulley & 4 tooth smaller 62 tooth rear wheel pulley. Doing that significantly reduced rpm that really helped when out on the open road cruising at 65-70mph. Stock pulleys/gearing on this bike is crazy low gearing,I installed a tack & it was turning approx 3,400-3,500 rpm at 60mph. With the new pulleys installed as stated above it now runs a approx 2,800 rpm at 60mph. 65mph is approx 3k rpm. Happy motoring. Bike dies fine wit the new pulleys on the open road at 65-70 mph riding 2 up & bags loaded! Even with new pulleys lowering cruise rpm anything over 70mph for long period of time it pushing it rpm wise & being a light Wt cruiser at 650lbs loaded wet when windy on open road it’s easily moved around by cross winds.
