This is the build video I've been looking for - no commentary, no "uhmmm, uhhhhhh", no swallowing the mic, just good camera angles showing what was done to build the bike. 10/10.
@mikenixon4637
@mikenixon4637 4 жыл бұрын
46 years in this industry and I can tell you 98 percent of the shops I worked in did this exactly like the video, and it is correctly done. A few things weren't shown, certainly done however. Liquid levels, battery prep, tire pressures, brake disc wipe, controls check, idle check, lights, etc. I'm amazed that judging by the comments so many people did not realize bikes came not fully assembled. Take note of the clutch lever adjustment. It is correct, yet many will allow it later to get much looser and think it is normal. I run my own shop today and have a heck of a time getting customers to adjust their clutches correctly. Someone mentioned thread locker. That stuff isn't used in Japanese shops. No need for it.

Wasn't a big fan of the orange color til now...it's pretty sexy. Would've loved to see the first startup, but still cool that y'all filmed the whole assembly process. I had a 2009 Vulcan 900 custom SE...I swapped out the exhaust for the Cobra Swept pipes when they finally released them in black and boy let me tell you....that brought that bike ALIVE! Transformed it from sounding like a 900 cc moped to sounding like a demon!!! Had the for four years, then sold it to buddy, who treated her very well. I miss that bike. This reminds of her (obviously). For the price, these Vulcans are pretty sweet!

The 900 is a very good bike, but personally I'd look at the Kawi RS900Z. Much new technology, more power, ABS brakes, etc., etc.

@Bunnyshooter 223 Don't get me wrong, I'm a lover of Kawasaki. It's just that the Vulcan 900 has been virtually unchanged since 2007 I believe? Needs a 1300 cc powerplant, better seat, a sixth speed and ABS. If it did, I'd have two in my garage. It is extremely well built and reliable though. Plus many good used options out there. Not a bad bike at all. :)

I owned a Vulcan 750 and also a Vulcan 800. Both decent bikes, but all these Vulcans in the last 20 years are copys of a Harley Davidson with a shity sound. 😁
@jonathanmolina3529
@jonathanmolina3529 4 жыл бұрын
@@ElectraWillem Not a copy, just cruiser style. The cruiser style is American so obviously, Harley, Indian, Triumph, etc. will be the biggest names but honestly, Japanese brands took the cruiser market and made it better. The only thing the american brands have over the Japanese is the sound, which can be fixed like I did my 2003 Honda Shadow 750 and that is with headers. Now my Honda roars and you have the reliability
