This is my exact bike I bought. 2016 Vulcan 900 custom. Same colors too. I’ve been riding for 3 months going on 4. This was my first bike and I love it. I’m a 5’10 female 140lbs. I’ve driven 1,200 miles on the bike so far. Drove 400+ miles to Daytona for bike week no problems. I’ve added a few upgrades to the bike though. I will argue that the bike is 100X better to drive with a windshield. I didn’t like the feel of the wind constantly hitting my chest. It was very fatiguing. When u do 100+ miles. So I bought a windshield for my trip to Daytona. The bike is super quiet and sounds like a scooter so I put Vance and Hines pipes on it and now it sounds badass. Also added black and chrome grips. I still want to add a few more things but for right now it’s perfect.

I bought a 2007 Vulcan Custom in 2014, it has been a great bike. Previous bikes: Suzuki Savage 650, Yamaha Virago 535, Honda Sabre 1100. The Sabre felt a little better at highway speeds, I often find myself looking for another gear with the Vulcan, but it's still my favorite. And the best thing, I picked it up for $2,000

People complaining about not having 6th gear and high revving at highway obviously did not ride 750 honda nighthawk which revs real high on highway and despite that it never stopped me going 200mile trips on highways.Its not an issue.900 Vulcan has same HP as Evo Road King and Road King was considered highway touring bike.Just wanted to give you guys perspective.Bigger engine bikes add more weight translates more fuel consumption higher insurance and poorer handling due to weight.So big is not better.Vulcan 900 is in sweet spot.

Just got back on bikes from a 25 year hiatus (Wow! How am I almost 51?) I picked up a 2009 Vulcan 900 Classic with after market Cobra exhaust, saddle bags windshield and only 6K miles. $2500 and it's all I need. Had to swap out the LOUD Cobra baffles for some Quiet Core Cobra baffles. Nice rumble and no high speed droning! I'm almost envious of that stock exhaust. If you are buying one of these used,IMHO, skip the aftermarket exhaust . These VN900's rev almost 4000 RPM @ 70 mph and those real loud exhausts will detract from your highway riding experience. And speaking of the blinkers, the reset to turn them off is very stiff, so I find myself with them on awhile, too!

@jasons57044 жыл бұрын
Bible Believer yeah but the bolt wobble can be fixed with a $30 part. So that really isn’t a good reason to go Vulcan over bolt. The bolt is definitely a bit quicker than the Vulcan and more customizable but the Vulcan has a bigger tank and is better on the highway. so i guess it just depends what’s more important to me or any other buyer
