One of the best vulcanized tech shoes that I miss was the Adio SST's. The shoes had the thickest insoles I've ever had but still had plenty of boardfeel and gel in the heel.

At 48 and have suffered a broken leg in the past, cup sole is like the only way to go for me. But I skated airwalk 900's I think they were when I was a teenager so I don't like to feel my board too much anyway. Aight then ✌️ brother!

Grew up in the 90s and 2000s skated from 95-2005 break for 3 years 2008-2012 didnt skate for 8 years started in 2020 again. Started out with the Nike SB cup soles like I skated when I was younger. Tore my ACL and Started skating Vulc shoes in 2021, Been on the EMERICA SLIP ONS. HARD. lol they have saved me many times. the grip on the sole helps me when i bail to not fall. This week I started skating a pair of ES ACCEL Slims. Cup Sole and I love it. been flicking so nice. suede and gum sole, reminds me of skating when i was young. So now I skate two shoes lol vulc = EMERICA slip ons &ES ACCEL SLIMS = cupsole

the eS accel slims are good. been thinkin about getting another pair recently. feel you on the suede and Gum. it's a classic look

Right now in the modern era.. in my opinion, the tiago 1010s are the best cup soles if u like skate shoes that are a lil more bulky than other cup soles. They actually have an arch support than other cup soles out there. Im 34 so supportive cup soles feel better 😅

Emerica released the Heretic so much of a 2000s vibe but a tad slimmer than the OG. Looks sicc thinking about maybe getting it but i just got the eS One Nine 7 i cant wait! I wanted the blacc/gum like u had but im happy with my purchase. Love ur videos Steve! Wish i can skate with u one day with our puffy shoes lmao!

I enjoy vulcs more but i definitely get what you mean with cupsoles flicking off the upper more or that certain vulcs like es or from my experience lakais flick off the upper because that minimal foxing tape vans and chucks have more a thick foxing tape that youve gotta wear down before getting a good consistent flick

@@stickersteve007 definitely. The 9clubs post asking everyone what their fave shoes are and holy heck it goes from one end of the spectrum to the other. Wish those basic affordable airwalks would come back.

I switch between my chris Cole fallen shoe and my Nike nyjah 3 skate shoe it all depends on where I’m skating I wear the fallen for street skating and the Nikes for the park unless I’m just doing flip tricks out front the house then I wear the Nikes then too

With all the new cup sole shoes that are out, with great board feel. Why would you want to skate a Vulc shoe. The new Ishod’s soles are thinner than a vulc and are actually very comfortable.

I prefer cup sole myself, I’ve been skating Tiago 808’s they take while to break in but they’re the best dad skate shoes!!!

I got a pair of Vans sk8 hi's when they first started remaking them in the mid 90's and have hated vulcanized shoes ever since. The whole "board feel" thing....... I dunno. I originally skated from 1990-2012 and never heard that term. I came back to skating in 2023 and that's all shoe ads talk about. Kinda sounds like something shoe companies latched onto to justify making shitty shoes and charge more.

vulcs in the '90s were terrible. i got some vans old skools and kickflipped through the foxing in a couple days, i hated vulcs almost ever since as a result. i tried some recently(etnies) and liked them way better, but still a lot of the same problems - foxing detaching, wears too quick, no impact protection.
