I was skeptically waiting to see what was going to happen when THAT moment came. I must say, they showed unexpected cojones in doing what they did -- take arguably the world's most iconic and brilliant guitar solo, and harmonize it. Duly impressed.

if you're going to try to harmonize that solo, number one the two guitarists should be at least somewhat tight with each other, and and secondly it should at be diatonically correct harmony... they just did it in parallel and it sounded awful with all of the out of key notes.

Cory Wong's band plays "Peg" at their live shows occasionally. It's freaking awesome, too. I'm just happy to know about all of these cats, whether they are together as the Vulfpeck, or doing their solo projects. Also, that look of joy on Joe's face at the beginning. He was totally like "holy shit, I can't believe we're playing with Bernard "ghost notes ain't nothing but rebound" Purdie!"

I live here in San Francisco and Iv'e heard several bands do Fagen & Becker tunes including Kid Charemagne and they did a pretty damn good job. Trust me, if she could play a guitar good enough and remember the lyrics your grandmother could probably do a pretty damn good version of the song. I know mine did

I understand what your saying. My point is is that great songs can make the most unprofessional amateur sound reasonably good. Unless of course the singer really really sucks, then of course he or she has trashed the song no matter what. At least to my ears
