I'm a med student and during an internship in a surgery room (where there's usually music) i asked if we could listen to this. After the first minute the cardio surgeon who was leading the operation dropped the scalpel, with a manly scream ripped the heart out of the patient's chest with his bare hands, and bite it, removing the tumor and saving the man's life. After that, he ran out the room...the last time someone saw him he was fighting giants in Iceland with a axe.

I was so surprised by this that in the second verse, i bit off my tongue and the blood flooded the valleys and drowned my enemies. Nearing the end of the song, and the end of my ebbing life, Valkyries descended from up high on their mighty steeds to collect my soul for Odin's table, as well as sewing my tongue together. But the thing that really surprised me, is that Valhalla gets wifi.

The Emperor is nothing but a puppet of the Thalmor
@catboynestormakhno26945 жыл бұрын
@@zekun4741 I mean the Thalmor have been helping the stormcloacks to keep the civil war going, by letting Ulfric go in a way where he would think he escaped, so they can take over the land when the fighting has taken its men, but sure its the imperials that are a puppet of the Thalmor I dont see the stormcloacks wining in a fair fight agaisnt the Thalmor after driving the imperials out so id suggest that the nords keep fighting for their land, but instead of doing full scale battles they instead seek to do guerilla style warfare doing their best to keep vision of imperial reinforcements and supplylines they can intercept, and that way keeping the stormcloack casualites to a minimum, for when the Thamlor are gonna send the real war their way. Sadly Ulfric isnt wise enough to realize any of this, and the land of skyrim has already been lost if it ends in his hands Finding lowly guarded towns that have some form of importance to the imperials, then sending forces that are bound to win against the town guards, proceding to pretend they are gonna keep the town under stormcloack influence but in reality using burnt and salted ground tactics, so to make imperial reinforcements waste their time or even be ambushed in vallies, woods, snowy areas (using ski like contraptions like the fins against the soviets) or other places that are easy to hide in and have lots of tight spaces (kill zones), using things like being crushed by boulders, being sorunded by forest fires and shoot down by bowmen would be effective in limiting the amount of stormclaock causualties here. Depending on how close they are to mountain areas with good choke points the men would be needed to be given horses per 2 or so men, so they can ride of when the hit has been done. These kind of hits have a very limited time they can be done after the first one has been set in motion, so the longer the stormcloacks use to prepair these kind of attacks througout all of skyrim the better. Also this strategy would make it very hard for the Thalmor to invade cause it would essentially do so all the farmable land in skyrim would be in areas that are easier to guard for the stormcloacks than for the Thalmors to invade, just cause theres less land to farm on, also if the thalmor take any ground the nearby towns would be needed to be burnt down ofc Also an important thing in all of this strategy is having vast amounts of salted meat hidden around the mountains of skyrim so small groups of warriors could hold choke points for at least weeks, searching for moments where they can escape, having prey pets would also be a great way of gathering some ekstra food in these situations, without the enemy troops knowing any better. The salted meat would be pretty easy to gather, cause the giants and their mammoths arent unkillable and even npcs have been shown they can kill them if they are in big enough groups

I had to add this one to the workout mix. I was pushing myself to do one more set on the incline bench when I came across this. My muscles suddenly increased threefold, I sprouted a long white beard, and was able to finish my set with ease. Alas, when the sing ended, I became a skinny old man again. Still, I'm playing this one on "Heavy" day every time, from now on.

For the ones who are interested: the Achterhoek is basically the north-east of the Netherlands. They sing in a dialect (not really a heavy one), but the poster has written that dialect down as how it's pronounced. Therefore many Dutch words in the lyrics are spelled wrong. The dialect (because it's close to the German border) has minor German influences, but it about 99% Dutch. Also, 0:47 It's Wodan and Donar in Dutch (Odin and Thor).
@the_ogre12342 жыл бұрын
Wotan and Donar is also the Germanic spelling, Odin and Thor is Scandinavian from what I know.

I worked in a graduation party and asked if this song could be played... All of the invited people started fighting each other with clubs, axes, maces, swords and warhammers like insane Einherjars from Valhalla and the coworkers served boar, bison and mead during the battle... There was even and old man without an eye and with a badass armor there

Not all scandinavians were vikings, vikings were just the raiders/pirates. There were everyday people who lived in Scandinavia who didn't raid and thus were not vikings but rather Norsemen.
@lillemakken11 жыл бұрын
Wrong. The Vikings were the farmers, the tradesmen and the warriors. They were the people living in the area of what is today known as 'Scandinavia'.
@raedenjay11 жыл бұрын
lillemakken Bev Top Ten Wrong Ideas About Vikings: 1. Vikings were a nation. Vikings were not a nation as such, but groups of warriors, explorers and merchants led by a chieftain. As often as not, in the expeditions to the west Vikings were Norwegians, Danes and Swedes, but also anyone who joined them. The point is that the Old Norse word víkingr denoted not a nationality, but occupation: a Viking was anyone who took part in an overseas expedition.

loving this, vocals = good, music = good, lyrics = are they having a war with Alestrorm ?
@Peusterokos111 жыл бұрын
Alestorm did engage the Pirate metal v.s Viking metal rivalry with one of their albums basically dissing the other genres of metal. So my guess is that vikings are trying to send a message to them saying that they aren't weaklings. Beware of vikings, for they are the berserkers.
