Totally could be me projecting but that animation of the guy listening to static and slowly being consumed by it, only to snap back to reality feeling dazed, confused, and still a little distant, is exactly what being stuck scrolling online for too long feels like. This characters feels like someone totally consumed by their devices, as reflected in the static texture in their skin (which looks rad as hell). I’m sure I’ll come back to analyze this whole thing at some point but for now I just went to enjoy how incredibly well made it is.

The part that struck me the most was him taking two tries to catch the headphone plug. I love how even though you could've just had him catch it the first time, you put in the extra work to animate that segment twice. It's little details like that that add life and personality to animation, I just love to see it. Great work!

I kinda relate to this- Not with my current self, but this was literally me during pandemic. Making music, not cleaning my room and even listening to noise music. I had the memories of that phase locked until now. It's great remembering your worst times when you are finally in a good place and can see the growth and improvement, thank you. Keep creating!

this is a profound, poignant representation of the modern-day doomer/hikikomori neet/30-year old "loser" basement dweller who lives in his mom's house. i found this thoroughly scintillating, and it resonated enormously with my internet-fried, dopamine-addicted, "loser" homebody self. i am taken aback by the lethargic, apathetic gestures of the protagonist and how succintly they were captured in your animation, reminding me of how i myself move about the world. in order to appease his mother, whose face evinces years of disappointment in her son, he pretends to play sounds of vacuuming to demonstrate that he is capable of some semblance of productivity. details like these truly capture the 30-year old "loser" experience in visceral, morbid clarity. kudos.

Why is this so insanely relatable? This was definitely me in my teen years (and a bit now, albeit with less floor mess.). I'm glad you didn't redo the sound. I don't know if it was intended, but the initial static feels very reminiscent of late summer. I can almost hear cicadas screaming and a creaky swing. It feels right. Also the animation is smooth as butter.
