VW 2.5 Spark Plug Change

2012 VW Passat 2.5 liter spark plug change. This is a 5 cylinder 2.5 liter VW. The coils do not bolt in but they just push in and are held in by rubber on the edge of the coil. These can be a little tricky to remove the coil harness so you need to lift the coils out first then remove the harness. Plus VW uses a different style air breather which is the engine cover as well.

Thanks for the helpful video. One question though - what's the purpose of removing the oil fill cap for this?

I do as a habit when taking covers off as to not break anything. Especially when the engine covers are part of the air breather assembly. I do not think you had to on these but it is just a safety precaution I take just in case it interferes.

It is basically the same engine but it may have a couple of little differences like connector styles and locations of a few things.
