VW / Audi P0322 Code Fix! Crank Sensor / Engine Speed Sensor Replacement

Today we're working on my 2001 VW Passat 1.8 turbo, we previously discovered a P0322 code after the car shut off and left me stranded on the side of the interstate. A very common issue on the Volkswagen and Audi engines of this era, often times as the sensor goes bad it will fail when heat soaked. Fortunately as you'll see in this How to video the process isn't terrible to replace the sensor, though it can be a bit messy!
This is likely the original sensor on this 180,000 VW, and we will be installing a factory OEM Bosch unit to replace it, hopefully getting us another 180,000 miles!

i had a gm made car drive it 20 mins it die wait 20 to 30 min it start go so far and die do the same thing again ok I got to a shop for the type of v6 engine in it ok it was a crank trigger for the spark system! the guy left set & then drive around a hour it did not die it fixed! I need gas in like 5 gallon can its about out!

Moral of these videos is, do NOT buy VW products. I dont care that you claim its been a "good" car...thats a false statement. Ive owned 3(2 audis and a VW) a 97, an 01 and an 02. and my wife had a beetle that the oil pan caught fire. Never again. VWs are the biggest piles of shit on the road... doesn't matter that its a stick. Doesn't make it any better or more reliable. Figured you'd know this austin, you work at a shop.
