welcome to my channel if your new here remember to like and subscribe😁 in this episode we will be replacing the crankshaft position sensor as I've had a long starting problem now and again and it being over 20 years old, I've already replaced the fuel pump and the camshaft position sensor and have no fault codes

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Crankshaft Position Sensor
Issues Starting the Vehicle.
Intermittent Stalling.
Check Engine Light Comes On.
Uneven Acceleration.
Engine Misfires or Vibrates.
Rough Idle and/or Vibrating Engine.
Reduced Gas Mileage.

Hello mate, great clips find myself watching all of yours being fairly new to the TT Mk1 also and going through replacing parts as your are! Having a mate with fans at present… had new fans rad coolant temp switch module still not playing ball… but keep up the good work. 👍

@@CarChris82 wish you have the issue with the gasket soon😂I ”pause mode” to replace this gasket because 3 german crazy bolts, yes it’s still fine by now plus since I’m not a mechanic either 👍 VID ! And huge thanks yesterday I did 2 front bushings after watching your VID how to, NICELY worked

What I want to know is how every single video I watched, everyone was able to locate the damn sensor, but I look at the same place and can't find it. Also there aren't any extra crap in between the oil filter or a metal bar under the oil filter

Could be this sensor but I would scan the car to see what codes it throws up

My wife's car is an 01 tt Quattro it won't run. Will try to fire once and no longer fire just cranks. Trying this crank sensor but may be immobilizer issue or wiring. Car has a 150000 km only. Changed the main fuel pump, cam sensor and air intake temp sensor hoping it's this crank sensor.

Looks easy but one of the shittiest jobs I've done even changing oil is a pain in the ass lol the harnesses are in the way even with the clamp unbolted thought I'd do it quick before bed and I think that was 3 or 4 hours ago and i can't get the damn thing out wiggled it back and forth a 100 times I'll try again tomorrow when the sun is back lol 😂😅😅😅😅

I feel your pain. Spent hours fighting with my crankshaft position sensor last night. Can barely get a finger on the damn thing let alone any tools.
