Yes it's basically the same but only 1 belt and 1 cam so different top end but still has a locking tool, the bottom end is the same but lock it to the 2v mark not the 4v mark

Thanks for the reply Callum s.so basically when marks are lined up on top pully and bottom one is lined up to the 2v mark it can be locked and take everything off.one more thing iv never heard of screwdriver in flywheel to lock it.is that the proper way or is there an actual tool that goes in through a hole .sorry for the long text just want to know I’m doing it right 😹

@@grahammaddison7482 it's been a while since I used a crank locking tool but iirc it's a pin that replaces the crank sensor and locks the flywheel in place.

Hello, I have a Polo 1.2 3 cylinder simple arbre à came 2004. I want to change its engine to a more powerful one.

Most people either buy a GTI or swap a 1.8t or 1.9tdi into it as they came with those standard so all the parts can be bought from other cars

Is the polo 6r 1.2 12v 3 cylinder engine good

@@Hamzewi not really much better if I remember correctly it's a 60hp version and still suffer from various issues, for reliability I'd say a 1.9tdi from a polo, ibiza or fabia, they will drop straight in just a few other parts to swap along with the engine or a 1.8t if you don't want to swap any fuel related parts other than the pump.
