@@gentlemonster5357 So you have pre upgraded TSI version. Main faults to this engines are the piston rings are to small therefore oil overflow into combustion chamber and burns with fuel, also I think, cam chain is dipped in oil (thats the way its designed) and over time it disintegrates chains tensioner as they made of plastic compound, that may cause chain to expand, skip a gear on the pulley and the piston will meet with valve, but before that happen it will knock camshaft out of balance first. Rebuilt will help only if they swap to upgraded pistons. Im not sure if this will be covered by warranty as its bad design fault. My advise? Get rid of it asap.

As long as you have a EA211 evo or evo 2 engine you are good. Those are really good engines for todays standards. Those are the 1.0 and 1.5 engines. Those engines only really need the timing belt and waterpump module + belt changed at least once in its life and an carbon cleanout of the intake manifold as they are direct injection (except for the 1.0 MPI). You should have added which engines are EA211, EA211 evo and EA211 evo2. 1.0 is EA211 all the way trough to Evo2 1.2 and 1.4 is the first gen EA211 1.5 is EA211 evo onwards. Because with VAG its all about the engine generation and engine codename. The 1.8 and 2.0 engines are EA888 and those are TRASH. Timing chain, leaks, waterpumps, turbos, oil consumption.
