Looks like a nice solid original bug! Good work, there should be a foam gasket that sits between the frame and the tank. I'd have been tempted to take the connector of the thingy on the fuel gauge, put a nut on it down on the gauge and try it. Original is always better than aftermarket.

Good call. I'm going to have to order a new tank seal! It was completely gone before removal

@@mobilemotorsport often are. Don't expect anything good quality. I ordered one and it was terrible, ended up replacing it with some foam of my own that had glue one side. Stuck it straight to the tank. Pretty sure I did a video including it.

Thanks for the video. I just picked up a 76 with similar issues. I ended up just buying a new gas tank but it didn’t come with the fuel sender unit. Just curious where you picked yours up form. Thanks 🙏

Great video!! I have a 73 and I appreciate your video. I'm looking to do some of the same updates. What made you use the hi/lo pressure fuel pump? What improvements did you notice since installing it? Thanks again for your videos.

I planned on installing a Dual Carb system down the road but later changed my mind. It does give a lot of fuel for a stock carb but I regulated it down to almost 1psi to not flood the carb. The Carter pump is designed to be dead headed and has an internal bypass so i did not need to route any return lines or anything!
