Love you adventure videos, Larry. I really enjoy seeing the desert again. I used to live in Joshua Tree back in the '80's, and l had a '56 bug then. I would drive the desert trails a little, but not nearly as much as you do. I really miss it. These videos bring back a lot of good memories.

The almighty VW Bus goes anywhere you point it. Never thought I'd see a bus in Anza-Borrego. Blair Valley would be another great place to explore. Great video!

Yet another super awesome video!!! I’ve been enjoying the washes and trails on the West side off of HWY S2, but… the VIEWS you had on that side on Palo Verde Canyon were pretty spectacular. I need to get out on that side soon before it heats up too much.

Hey Donald, I not going to Madera. I plan on BOR Sacramento, if all my plans fall in place. I have a rebuilt motor in the works. So it's a little crazy over here right now. I did look up the Brittsan Motors Dealership in Fresno. That was a top notch Dealer, - VW, Porsche and Mercedes. The showroom photo from 1955 is amazing. (1st location - 1945 Mono St.) Did you share the photo's?

@@VintageOverlandAdventures I'll get some from my brother, he's trying to archive ton's of pictures and slides, I know there's a lot of slides from when VW of America flew the dealers to Germany in 1958, great slides of the manufacturing of the new bugs with the big rear window.

lots of fun there. think the flying of the drone n driving is a real talent. did you know Palo Vertie was a murder investigation that was the first to use plant DNA to convict the bad guy ??? they had to test every tree in the area to prove their case.

Wow, that’s a great amount of work to DNA all the trees in that area. Good to hear they got the bad guy. As for the drone, it tracks and avoids obstacles while capturing the bus in fight. There is a handful of commands from a beacon at I can have it do from the drivers seat. It beeps from the battery is running low. Lands on your hand. 🙂 Thanks for watching and sharing your story. 🤙

@@VintageOverlandAdventures ok we had a van with doors on both sides, my dad and his friends cut that section out and welded the van back together, put dual wheels on it front and rear, you talk about an off road vehicle ! I've got to find the pictures of it you'd love it!

@@VintageOverlandAdventures Not for sand, we kept it up on our property in the sierras, just had an old reliable 36hp, the snow did smash the roof a little bit one winter but nothing that we couldn't take care of.
