That’s awesome you guys came to Silverton! I was born and raised and still live here. I bought a 1964 beetle from Morrie a couple of years ago. They delivered it right to my garage, great guys. Very family oriented as well, which I respect! Too bad we didn’t know you were in the area at that time!

Looking good guys ❤️ Back in 1987 , I bought a 64 split camper from an old guy who owned it from new . Lots of rust on the floor and front wheel arches . I didn’t have much money at the time , with 2 kids , but being a bus mechanic I made my own panels and welded her all up . I had the trimmer re-trim the upholstery with bus seat moquette and set about painting her . I found a tin of dark blue paint and mixed it with some white , and came up with a shade close to yours 🤣 Believe it or not I only paid £450 for her , and sold her for £750 3 years later ! Thought I had done well 😢. Can’t wait to see yours finished …..TC 🏴

@@MicBergsma I wish I learned Sign language in High School back in 1984. I couldn't understand anything you said. My hearing is deminished 60%40% in my ears. After you completely restore the clone VW bus with 20 windows. It will could be worth about $600,000.00 U.S. at MECEM or a BARRET JACKSON auto auction. You got a VW van people want to steal.

My 63 bus looks very much the same , Mine actually had much more extensive work done to it due to its condition, I did every bit of the work in my garage myself and it took about 2 years start to finish, including 6 month stint at Skinners to put on a long panel that I didnt want to do. I know how tense it must have been waiting so many years for Skinner
