I bought a 17 plate caddy maxi kombi recently. The previous owner experienced the same thing with leaking coolant. Pin hole leak in the charge cooler and was leaking into one of the cylinders. He had a new cooler installed and that fixed his problem.

ah ye😎😎i have a 16 plate mk4 caddy dsg diesel and have no coolant loss at all and gearbox is perfect other than having a new flywheel and gearbox service!loving content fella!!

The younger they are, the complicated VW make them. Bloody coolers everywhere... all for emissions. Less room to work on them too. That was a nice looking Caddy too.. love the slammed air ride look. Loving the content Nath.🤟

I had a split pipe on top of the cooler, only found the leak when I done a long trip. It was leaking back into glow plug port 4.

Similar issue with my 2.0Tdi Caddy - engine code CLC. I suspect its my EGR cooler. Doing EGR delete soon as I now get P0403

Nathan had the same coolant problem on my Tiguan at 45000, it turned out to be the water pump

I have a 68plate with the 6 spd dsg and I had the service done on it by VW and is now sweet as a nut. Has not been reprogrammed either still original.

My 2020 caddy eu6 drops coolent every 6 months to a year I have to top it up by a few inches from the min line been doing it since brand new van has 28k on the clock. Had it since day one . not sure what vw coolent usage is normal or not? .. allso own a 2011 astra van sportive mk5 that neaver takes a drop eaver that's on 95k . So a little worried as to why a 4 year old caddy need topping up do I have a tiny leak or is it normal.? . ps would love to do a caddy meet but iam all the way up in Manchester so a bit far for me 😂 keep up the vids love watching them

DTE ur garage looks like its in Spain freezing down here in south Wales ah yea i was losing coolant on my mk7 golf same engine with charge cooler on top i think , it turns out it was the secondary water pump at the bottom rear of the engine 180bucks from tps but my mechanica found on eBay from Germany brandnew 40qwid sorted since goodluck was losing about the same amount of water comman fault

I love all your videos especially the transporter ones and I wear your tee shirt proudly. I have a t5 2.5 that ticks over too fast when the weather is warm only, any ideas? I've tried all the forums and changed loads of sensors. Look forward to the next video. Kind regards Martin

Thanks Martin really appreciate that mate 👍 I wonder if you coolant sensor is faulty sending a wrong signal, I don’t know much about the 2.5’s but the coolant sensor tells the ecu what the temp is and adjusts the idle 👍

My T6 is a 7 speed this should be too Just take it up the road in manual mode and see if you get to 6 or 7 gears 😂 simples Ahye 👌🏼
