VW CAXA 1.4TSI Fuel Injector replacement

How to replace your fuel injectors on a 1.4 Tsi caxa engine out of a MK6 Golf.

I gotta take off the intake manifold to do some carbon cleaning, so this would be pretty much along that route.. Was that really a pickup line and a coolant line you said you took off around 1:35? I know the middle one is a cilinder head breather hose, but would I need to drain any fluids beforehand for the other hoses?

This is a Magneti-Marel injector. Six nozzles at an angle. They are washed very well, then tested on a stand at 40-120 bar. I don’t recommend aggressive chemicals for them, because... take out the bracket, the nozzle is disassembled, there is a damper with an elastic band, and under it there is a flat mesh.

Hi there. I have 1.4 tsi 122ps. İt misafire only idle on both cold and hot engine. Only idle p0304. Running has no issue. Whats was your issue? And did you have any fail code? I would be glad if you answer.

I don’t have any engine errors but a misfire on cilinder 3 when im around 1900 rpm. Possible that its the injector?

@@Heijmen0481 try to swap, inyector, coil and spark with cilinder n1... If problem is still in number 3, check the wires, if everything looks ok, problem is in valves or piston... In my case was the piston (very comon in this engine)

Hi i have the same issue misfire on cylinder 1 and mpg is not good but if you scan the vehicle no error code. Is that normal?

Hello, can you tell me, did you reseal the manifold with some paste or anything? or can you just put the old one on like that? Specifically my situation, i've had 2 injectors changed but now a third one is defect, and i would like to change it myself so i just wanna know if i need to seal it again og can i just put it on. Also don't you need special tool to pull out the injector?

I didn’t use any new seals as my existing one was in good condition once examined and cleaned. I didn’t need any special tools either👍🏼

I get it seems an intimidating job to do but it only took me a couple of hours with only a limited amount of knowledge on it all! So i would say give it a go

Hey how did you know it was the fuel injector that needed replacing? Did you have a misfire on the engine before? (i got a slight misfire on the car and wondering if its a fuel injector that needs replacing. I've already replaced spark plugs and coil packs)

I brought them second hand of a car with 60k miles so don’t have a link. Take them off and find a part no. if your worried. It’s a caxa 122 1.4 tsi engine

@@lammindrives2763 How did you diagnose your problem? Because mines only stutter for about 15 seconds on start up every morning and then goes dead quiet afterwards. When I look at live data, I see cylinder 2 misfiring intermittently.

Had a rough idle at bank one code…The injectors ended up being at fault so replaced them and cleared the code and it’s gone away 👍🏼
