You're stoping the adaptation test. Press the ON button and wait for the engine to go back to idle by itself. When you press ON the engine will rev up to about 1500rev/min and it will start switching the egr on and off and you have to wait for it until the engine goes back to idle and the basic setting will be done automaticly. It takes about 2-3 minutes

Hi. I started the adaptation, but there is a message NOT RUNNING. Rev is on 1500, waiting 5 min and i stoped the process. Should i need to wait more time? Thank you

@abdbach379 there was a cable unplugged next to the alternator, but it shows no code. I will try again, and if it still shows a message, NOT RUNNING, i will inform you. Thank you

Ahoj. Mám otázku. Dole na obrazovke VCDS je popis aký má byť postup. Všetkému chápem, akurát nechápem, že je ram napísané, že treba silno stlačiť a držať brzdový a plynový pedál. Je to tak správne? Pretože ak stlačím a podržím plynový pedál, zruší sa mi základné nastavenie. Mam VW Sharan 85 kw rok výroby 2005. Ďakujem za odpoveď.

to zakladne nastavenie slúži hlavne na kontrolu. a netreba pri tom stlačať pedál.

Chystam sa vycistit egr a aj sanie, a pravdepodobne bude treba urobit aj zakladne nastavenie EGR. Len ma zaujima co treba pri tom nastaveni urobit, ci staci ho spustit ON, alebo treba este pridavat plyn na tych 1350 otacok, a ci nastavenie skonci same, alebo ho musim vypnut ja pomocou OFF.

@@golfwagen4173 treba drzat brzdu, a potom skontrolovat v riad. jednotke motora "readiness" ci je egr test "passed"

Does anyone know why my car stalls when I try to do this test? I also have power loss and rough idle but no fault codes? So that's why I'm trying to diagnose the EGR.

@@wickedbg Yes I cleaned the EGR with the spray cleaner but was only ok for few weeks so then I disconnected the EGR hose and plugged the hose with screw.
