dude I hope one day my 2024 Golf R Manual can keep up with your GTI... I have plans for her, right now just stage I APR full Torque... I miss my MK7 GTI, I had one of the last 2 doors, but after 67K miles I had engine issues and it didn't make sense to keep her. She was DSG, and my first non 3 pedal car ever... I'm kinda glad now I'm back in a manual before they all go away. Love your content.

@@Neverworry21 The manual may have longer gears but the acceleration difference is negligible. DSG can hold boost between shifts and keeps the engine in power band better. Not sure where you are getting your information from but a DSG can hold just as much power as the manual. All you need is a tune. I own a Vortex XL, DSG MK7 GTI making over 500whp on a 32psi, E85 map.

Would highly recommend, my 3rd car in 2 years and i love it, you should do research about what the common issues are and how to fix them, main issues are the water pump around 80k and rear-main seal around 60k, but problems vary on sub-models and options

Stay on top of maintenance. These are not like Hondas or Toyotas that can be neglected and drive on like nothing is wrong. If you're going to be tuning the car, your plug interval drops from 60k to 10k, and you'll want to drop your oil from 10k to 5k. Also, do not let your intrusive thoughts win. Quick cars and young/inexperienced drivers do not mix well usually. So just be smart, don't be an idiot. Even 200hp is enough to get into serious trouble lol
