Audi q5 fy, have camera on windscreen…Trying to do step by step, but there are problems. 1) I cant find channel “display end of speed limit”….I just dont have it! 2) dont have channel “valid adittional character “ 3) I cant make any changes in the car infotainment display (car->setup etc). Thanks for the video, i have been able to enable sign assist on my golf but i have some issue : I use odb Eleven it's perfect but this time i wasn't able to do this 2 steps : Adaptation → Channel: Display end of speed limit symbol → active Adaptation → Channel: Valid additional characters → 00100111 I found a workaround : Module A5 -> long coding -> byte 16 -> Traffic sign recognition VZE : Not Coded -> Coded

Happy to help! 2014 car will most likely have MIB1 infotainment system which will be a bit different.

My Golf 7.5 2018 has dash cam under front mirror for autom. long beam can be coding to trafic sign read?

Camera in mirror is for high beam only. For advanced features (dynamic light assist, traffic sign recognition, lane assist) you need the camera that's installed in the windscreen.

Well, if I had to pay somebody $50 to enable it, I would say that it’s not worth it. But if you have access to OBDeleven, give it a try.

Hello....I try and I try and I try with VCDS 19.6....I have golf 2019. Line assist it’s enabled by factory but I just can’t activate traffic sign recognition...... can you please make a video with vcds steps..... we all are begging you EAST Europe :) East Europe we have to make a buypass (VZE)?

Coding procedure is the same for OBDeleven, VCDS or any other diagnostic interface that do coding/adaptation. If you want more help then you need to provide more information than "can't activate". At which point you have problems? Missing controller? Coding not accepted? Feature missing? Errors?

I've retrofited 5Q0 camera con Golf 7 2016 (CZCA 1.4 TSI R-Line Lounge), but traffic sign rec. and high beam assist won't work :-( already tried a lot of coding solutions :-(

These settings do not exist in my 2020 Golf MK7.5 R (Australia)... Adaptation → Channel: Display end of speed limit symbol → active Adaptation → Channel: Valid additional characters → 00100111

This was tested in my 2016 MK7. Newer cars (with latest firmware) can have different options. Also sometimes there are channels named in German instead of English.

@@mrfixpl OK have sign recognition working and displaying in dash and setting in Multi Media Unit though... but temperamental and sometimes does not read signs. BUT then again have read that they are all like that? Especially in Australia as we have different signage ... Thanks Laurie

Hi, I’m french, I try coding Dynamic Road Sign assist, but it’s dosn’t working good. when there is not Road Sign on thé road, I don’t have Sign on my cluster. On discover, after coding and reboot with volume button, they is 2 line for road sign, first is Ok, but in the cluster setting there is not "dynamic" Road Sign display but simplement Road Sign assist. In the codage procedur, I have not: Module 5F - Longcoding byte 24 - bit 6 active. In this byte I have : trailer reconition - activé or not. My car is Golf 7 GTD 2014 with lane assist and light assist. but I have retrofit a Discover pro 3, 9". If you can help me bro.

Hello, I did everything as on video. Road Sign Detection activated successfully, but every time after ignition ON, I get error "U111000 Function restriction due to communication interruption" Golf MK7. Do you know the reason?

Last time I checked it was recognizing some signs but assumed km/h unit instead of mph.

Mine doesn’t. But there are hints I the software of this feature. Also of ACC setting max speed to current camera readout.

Good work, can you tell me if your camera is a 5q0 or a 3q0 series ? Tried enabling it on mine., but mine is without a nav., so this did not work. Also the road symbols on the did not recognize., will read the road name us60 as 60 kmpl.

Any word on what the long coding values names are in 5F A5 and 17? Also can you confirm your camera in A5 starts with 5Q0? In nam we have 3Q0 and I have been told the long coding is different in A5. For the other two I am trying to find the right option because none are present for me and my guess they are in a different spot in nar cars as well

AFAIK you need GPS system to fill in the blanks from camera. To be honest I don’t have access to car with camera and without nav to try make it working.

I think this camera also supports Pedestrian warning option, may be you can try enabling that.
