Hi where does the vacuum line from the EGR valve go to on this model? Appears to have been chopped off and blocked with a screw on my friends vehicle.

+K V Verschueren VW Service Manual indicates that after replacing an EGR valve is necessary to perform an basic adjustment. I don't remember on which ECU channel it is perfomerd. But it is necessary.

Where does that lower, small pip leads? Mine has a narrow tube which lead to nowhere, it's just hanging loose. :O

You commented 3 years ago but if you see this.. Have you EVER find out wtf caused this code? I get it about 4-5 times a months and every mechanic says that he cannot figure it out and just clears the memory. Any solution for you?

@@mariahetszaz8567 I'm pretty sure it was the valve stem seals. Its the only thing that I didn't change before giving up and buying a Toyota.

It was actually my exes car. She got so mad at me after I replaced the head gasket, egr, intake manifold, map sensor, etc. I got it to run fine but it wouldnt pass emissions testing in Sweden. She took it to her friend that worked at the vw dealer and they charged her $300 and said "here's your car, we can't figure it out. We've got 3 others with the same problem". I took her to the Toyota dealer and there was a 2006 Toyota corolla with 40k kms for a decent price so she bought it.

KUSH BOY Before replace. Have you checked all wires? The EGR valve uses five pins. You can perform an actuator test with VCDS.

I had a mechanic to change it. And he deleted the warning light but after some few miles, it came back again

I get random misfire codes and engine check light i replaced plugs,coil, Ignition leads and its still starting jumpy but running fine and the engine light is still on :/ Will changing this help? Thanks :)

+KINGCALLO I have a VW Sharan with electronic EGR valve. I have read fault codes storaged in ECU memory and I have read two codes about EGR valve. EGR electrical malfunction and EGR implausible signal. I have performed an actuators test with VCDS and the test is passed because I hear "clicking" all devices. I think EGR valve is clogged. I will to replace it but before this, I'm going to change the vacuum lines because I performed a vacuum test and it is escaping via the pipe between inlet pipe and the little pivot on the EGR valve. What do you think?
