Great review, first time I saw a video from you, subscribed! 😉 To the car, I just received a fully loaded ID7 as a company car, after driving a Tesla Model 3 Performance for the last 3 years. Tesla has the lead in software (but not drivers assist!), and the ID7 is (much) better in car-related things, such as noise, ride quality, build quality and assistants. How much do I love a rain sensor and wipers that work, no phantom breaking and so on! But then again, it (the ID7) better should be better, here in Switzerland it costs over 20k Swiss Francs more than my Model 3 Performance! 😱 Two more points: The tiny cupholder in the middle in the backseat is perfect and especially made for cans (energy drinks and such). But hei, I like your idea of shots, when already in the backseat! Also, I hear more and more car reviewers complaining about the beeping, and that those warnings/settings are turned on each time when starting the car. It‘s actually not the manufacturers fault, it‘s a new EU regulation! Those things have to be turned on / active whenever a new drive is started.

Great review, glad about the upgrade infotainment, would have love if vw brought back the physical buttons on the steering to the ID 7

Nice open boot sadly at the cost of head space in the back, from the drivers POV the usability looks horrible with all the touch buttons not even the climate buttons are physical, if VW really thinks this is what people want they are out of touch with everyone. Ventilated seats is really good usually it's only the heating, touch screen looks nice and responsive. Beeping for everything is really a big problem in new cars they just can't stop beeping. l don't really know where's the big leap in right direction as you say, yes it has some things going for it but overall for 63k€ it's just not good another big negative thing is lack of AWD which at this price should always be unacceptable and they should really stop the light bar trends

I agree. I feel the price tag is way too high for what you get. The performance is that of an KIA Niro almost. Compared to the competitors you get alot more for the price. AWD should really be included in the price. The interior is nice but not nice enough for the price tag. The price increases fast if you add anything and there is alot of options to add as usual with ID cars.

In Netherlands ID.7 Pro Business starts at 61490 euro, that is pretty high unfortunately. Nice review again, looks like a good ev car doing almost all the things right.

Sedans are the perfect vehicle type for 99% of drivers. Unfortunately, due to people's vanity, they only want to buy gigantic SUVs and trucks so they can drive to work or the grocery store "in style". If not for people's insecurities, they would be driving sedans and hatchbacks.

I think you mean estate/station wagon/break. It has the aerodynamic shape of a sedan but at least it has better boot/passenger headroom. Sedans are often not practical enough. I do agree about SUVs, however this is not (completely) the customer's fault. For some reason these last years the only practical cars on offer that have adequate boot size and passenger leg/headroom are SUVs or at least crossovers. It's the manufacturer's choice, at least for a sizeable part. Perhaps because of the globalization of auto brands? The NIO ET5 Touring, as a practical estate, is one of the exceptions, but overall the offers are rather meagre.

Hej 🙂 I like the comment on the rear doors light pattern. Been at the München Flughafen a lot and I cannot definitely remember this pattern on their floor mats, so next time, I will look out for 😅 Apart from that, the ID7 looks good. For once, it's not a SUV, so people should be happy (I don't know why all are craby about the SUV, given the fact everybody wants one. Paradoxical 🤷‍♀). But I love the fact VW is developing normal EV cars and not some kind of spaceships, like some other brands. And I'm really looking forward for the ID2. Looks promising 🙂

Haha! I may have an older picture of the airport in my head. 😂 Agree on your points. It's a really nice car for long distance travel both because it's efficient but also due to it's a big sedan with gods suspension.

@SeeliLeck3r yes, finalizing a video with range, charging and noise for the ID7. Available for members tomorrow or on Monday. I really loved the ET5T. Compared to the ID7 it's smaller and more fun to drive. But smaller and not as comfortable.

@@ItsOnlyElectric Great for the upcoming video, looking forward to it To be totally honest, I'm also watching the videos from the German KZbinr Chris "Battery Life". He has a brand new ID7 after having an ID3, his feedback and experience is quite interesting. Just to say 🙂 I need to test out the Nio cars. Maybe I will be disappointed , maybe not. But as I want to look forward for my future EV, I need to test out 😊

Im not sure if You add like AR to an ID.4 You are easy up to 620-650k sek, here You get standard add ons for like 20-50k+ thats not standard in an ID.4. That thing is stupid tho.

This looks to be an inadequate effort. Simply not good enough. They need to replace this with another iteration quickly, preferably within the next 18 to 24 months. Time is running out.

@@ItsOnlyElectric The product is obsolete. The design, especially the interior, is very subpar. Performance is decidedly lacking. Infotainment is embarrassing despite improvements. The lack of 800v architecture is unforgivable. Chinese EVs costing 40% less now run on 800v architecture, with far superior design and interior finish. Chinese EVs priced similarly as the ID.7 now have ChatGPT-like voice control and onboard AI, as well as level-3 autonomous driving as standard. ID.7 might be OK for Europe, but more and more Chinese EVs are coming to Europe, so the borders to competition will continue to break down. VW needs to either cut the price by at least 30% or have a replacement ready in two years that can actually compete on equal footing.

Har ju mkt å göra med att priserna är rätt oskäligt höga. Helt orimligt att i princip alla modeller börjat från 500k och uppåt. Nu börjar ju priser sänkas. Folk vågar inte köpa elbilar då många av dem tappar helt enorma värden som t ex audi e-tron 55.

I like your reviews, I love all the tech specs, but no one really goes into depth with that, ID 7 another disappointment from VW, they are clearly stuck in the past, the issues I have with this car is, overweight, underpowered (for an EV) as you mentioned 4WD is much needed , and 1 pedal drive is 100% needed, but they don´t offer anything, that many others can do cheaper/better, the software may be improved, but far away from leaders still. also why aren´t they introducing this as a Station wagon? would be much better received in Europe, where´s the frunk? 1000kg. on the tow hitch, we need it to be 1500kg. at least, design is typical VW...ZZZzzzZZZzzz. really don´t have anything positive to say about it. it´s priced way too high in Denmark, +€70K, what´s the motivation to get one?
