Greetings from Bergvliet. I don't remember the cooling fan running so high to cool the engine down on our Microbus when we had it from 2002 to 2004.

It is a 2-speed fan so it will depend on how the fan is connected to the Thermo switch.

@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Hi sir, may I ask, my Kombi fan activates in time and the vehicle does not heat up but I do hear the coolant bottle boil and I do see the water bubbling within the coolant expansion tank, i can hear the pressure within the bottle, is that normal on the microbus or is it something I should be concerned about ? I would really appreciate your advise, all mix fixes are done by following your videos :)

Hi Nicholas, check if the overflow reservoir is not overfilled, if so it will prevent the excesses coolant due to expansion in your cooling system from flowing from the top coolant reservoir into the overflow reservoir creating a bubbling effect, also check that the cooling system is properly bled.

It does not matter as the excess from your expansion tank will flow into the overflow tank. That is an overflow tank, Mongezi, it is where the excess water goes when you overfill the top tank or when the water gets hot it expands and flows into the overflow tank, it is there to keep the top tank full, so when the car cools the vacuum that forms in the top tank sucks the overflow water into the top tank to keep it full.

Thank you for a great video I have 2.3 i Volksiebus and my heater is not working to full capacity, getting warm air only in the front and for the demister but not enough to heat the interior on a cold day. Please help.

Hi Rajesh, thanks for the sup[port, 1st make sure the engine thermostat has not been removed if not there is a partial blockage which might not be easy to detect.

Because Warm air is coming into the vent at the windscreen a little from the vent near the gear shift but nothing effective the fan is actually blowing at full capacity but no air is coming from the vents on the Das and along the sides of the hood lining. I am hopeful you will soon make a video on fixing these problems

Very informative..I have a 2.3 kombi bus, and have a problem with the fan not coming on, when it reaches temperature..I have been told to remove the thermo switch, and replace, or check for corrosion whereby I need to take waterpaper and sand the coperhead for a better conection...firstly, I cant seem to find where the theromo switch is situated, and secondly: would you advise me to do that?

Make sure all the electrical connections are secure or have an auto electrician check if the circuits are faulty
