In this video, I manually diagnosed a misfire on a Vw Polo Vivo, and what I found surprised me.

I've got exactly this issue but on cyl 2. Thing is, it's not happening all the time. Switch off and restart then runs better till 20 mins into drive, EPC comes on then i get P0300 & P0302. Switched cyl 2 spark plug to cyl 4, cyl 2 coil to cyl 1 and cyl 2 injector to cyl 3 as I'd need to drive a bit for code to come up / misfire to happen. Turns out misfire moved to Cyl 3, so injector on its way out. To confirm i pulled fuel rail and put cut-off Energade bottles over injectors while cranking for a bit and could already see the dodgy injector sprayed way more fuel than the rest. BTW, Gary is the man!

Best to just replace all as I did with this car off camera, just to be safe and thorough

Check the globes on each indicator, usually when 1 does not work then it flashes fast, it could also be the flasher unit that is faulty, try the globes 1st

Great video!. Question....do you know what the issue with that injector was? clogged or totally busted? If it was clogged could it have been cleaned out?

If it was still cylinder 4 you would hope it is a broken harness, because if not that is an expensive fix.
