VW Scirocco I - honestly a breathtaking silver Teuton

A little stopmotion clip of my favorite plastic guy assembling the AMT plastic kit of a Volkswagen Scirocco I in the scale 1/24. I worked on the model for a good friend of mine who uses it as a gift for his wife. Here's the story:
The old fellow said his wife had discovered a meeting of Scirocco drivers in the marketplace one day and suddenly went mad with joy: "Sciroccos! Look, sweetheart, all full of Sciroccos! The Scirocco!!! The coolest car in German history!". She always wanted to drive such a car, but never owned one. And meanwhile Sciroccos were already vintage and barely to get. The old fellow thought, well, my little angel, you will get such a vehicle! He knew a model maker who had a reputation for not being talent-free enough to accomplish such a thing. The modeler went to work and ordered his assistant what to do: "Build a Scirocco car just like it was built in 1977, paint it beautifully in silver and don´t forget to write the right words on the license plate: Just write LITTLE ANGEL on it, so that there will be no doubt that no one but the beloved lady may call this car his own!"

I had one from 1980 through 1992. It was an excellent little car, dependable, great mileage, sporty -- plenty of pep and wonderful handling, nimble and easy to park.

It will be long story, but I must tell - when I studied, once upon a time we had meeting with Wilhelm Brasse, which was former Auschwitz concentraction camp prisoner and famous photographer. I dared to ask him - because in his book was info about his car passion after war - what cars he had. And he told me that one of them was... Volkswagen Scirocco! I was amazed. And Your work is also amazing! Nice done! ;)

77 VW scirocco had a single windshield wiper blade 76 and 75 dual windshield wiper blades..I had 77 with a Zender body kit...👍

Sehr schön. Ich mag die alten VWs. Mein erstes Auto war ein 74er VW Passat, mit sage und schreibe 59 PS aus nem 1,6er Dieselmotor, OHNE Trubo und dem ganzen Schnick Schnack den es heute gibt. Auf der Autobahn LKWs überholen am beste bergab oder aus dem Windschatten :-D

Well .. A very nice build as usual !! Just an idea (my opinion).. Why not trying 1/16 armor with with full super scratch detailing (interior and exterior) 😁😁😁 example.. The 1/16 T-72 B from trumpeter .. It would be a great challenge isn't !?
