VW T5 Camper Van and a Hidden Gem in Lake District

Watching this at 4 a.m you’ve made me hungry watching you eat your stir fry ! I like the U shaped layout in your van it seems roomier than the normal layout that our T5 has, love the doggos 👍🏻🇬🇧

Haha, theres nothing worse than getting the munchies that early in the morning 😃 Im glad you like the video and our U shape set-up. It is quite spacious, I also designed it so the centre part of the seating at the back can easily be removed, allowing me to slide large sheets of wood in and even my disability scooter when needed. 😁

Hi, thanks for your comment. The first car park and the pub are called The Buttermere Court Hotel AKA "The Fish" It serves great food and drink and is dog friendly this is the start of the footpath down to Buttermere Lake. As you pull back onto the road B5289 turn right and follow the edge of the lake on your right until you reach the far end and you will come to the "Gategarth" car park and farm. Parking is normally £4 for 24 hours.

Hi, Thanks for your comment. It really is a great place to visit. The roads to get to Buttermere are a bit sketchy but you still see plenty of motorhomes there 👍

Yes have to agree that is a good park up. We have used it on many an occasion. Always good to find other dog owning campervan people. We are down to two though now feom 4. Now subbed to you.

Aw, thank you for your comments and subscription. We love having the dogs with us and enjoy the cuddles they are always offering. It's so sad when you lose them as they are definitely part of the family. We have had many rescue dogs over the years that have come to us at an unknown age and sometimes only have a short time with them, but every minute is worth it 👍

Hi, thanks for your comment. It can be trying at times, but when they settle in the camper van they just seem to disappear. I love having them around and wouldn't be without them, they are so loving.

Hi, I'm glad you liked the video it is a really nice park-up and we both love the Lake District. As far as the seat bracket, luckily Allison likes to sit up with a straight back so she is quite comfortable whilst on our journey, plus it saves me £150 🤣

You were so lucky with the weather. Not too busy. Blu skies. We watch your vids on a smart TV. Music is a bit too loud in places compared to you speaking so we have to keep adjusting volume. Just for info. Looking fwd to your next adventure plenty of cuddles to woofa from old George and Jane. Rainy a lot at the moment so messing about in garage workshop today.
