I had some bad luck with those swivel foot adjusters. The balls kept rolling over.

i've read many years worth of forum postings on many many forums about these devices and that is an uncommon but not unheard of problem.

It doesnt take much resitance to stop oil flow. The guides always wear out and its a flat motor so improvement is worth the effort. The stock rockers are offset to theoretically cause the valve to spin for longevity. That causes a side loading on guide. Does the valve really spin much? Intake guides can suck in too much oil exaust runs hot and dry. Intakes and exaust need to be handled differently or intakes will carbon up on backside and exaust will not lube up enough and guide will fail quicker.😊 thanks, i trust vw Darrin mine are centered. Exaust has better oil flow than intake. I cut the threads to hole on the rocker so oil could pass easier. Hoover mods can help or go too far. The elephant feet have larger foot but ya gotta get oil to it. The swivel feet are smaller and might oil but its a gamble. The stockers work and are cheap and last with no worries.
