Such an underrated band. Every song is good on this album.

It makes you proud to be from Sweden in this context! W.A.S.P. became a sensation here from the moment the "Animal" single and first album appeared, and they remain one of the most cherished, universally beloved heavy metal bands of all. And believe you me, in Sweden that says a LOT.

I was lucky enough to have this album for like 2 years before it was released in the states thanks to Johnny Rodd (bassist). I had been a long time WASP fan... but this album floored me.

I got to see WASP open up for Iron Maiden in February 1985. What a show! I'm going back and listening to the music they've put out since the 1980s.

This song was great live on they're 40th anniversary tour! If you ever get a chance to see W.A S.P. do yourself a favor & GO SEE THEM! This is one of Blackie Lawless's best accomplishments & he has said so himself about The Crimson Idol. He's also pretty proud of Headless Children.

In the original song one lyric was 'I am just a prisoner to my faith' and in the new version it was changed to 'prisoner of my fame'. As far as I know it's because he had a really strained relationship with his religious upbringing and was very anti-faith in his early career before some personal hits that made him turn back to religion. Interesting perspective change! Personally I don't understand why anyone would return to a religion they hated for most of their life, but if it provides the support needed, who am I to judge? Anyway, his newer music sounds good too if you can stomach very heavy focus on christian perspectives.

Having backing tracks for supplement is not the same thing as lyp syncing. A rap concert or kiss concert now that's lip syncing. And blackie might do it for some songs but not the ones off crimson idol
