I have visited this place a couple of decades ago. It is a volcanic Crater lake like the Bishoftu lakes. These are formed by the interaction of water and lava, called "maar crater". These craters are very deep, sometimes more than 200 m. The cave is formed by a tectonic fissure and it really deep, some kms. The East African Rift has several impressive structures. It is an open lab for volcanologists.

Amazing natural beauty. I love Ethiopia. God bless my beautiful homeland .
It is very good! But it seems very small lake may be the camera angle is limited. How deep, width, temperature is it salty or sweet. What kind of other animal or bird 🦅 in particular . The hyenas eat what .. must be other animals is it open for all months of the year? etc. The information is very limited.
Wow very owsome and interesting place to live. Mama Ethiopia 🇪🇹 gives us so many reasons to live, but our blend eyes 👀 it blocks us to see or to use it. Thank u for your time and efforts.
