This is a zero failure five spices salty Ham Chin Peng recipe(Five Spice Doughnuts) you must try. It’s not greasy, with a crispy exterior and tender inside, very chewy, and so delicious in every bite.
If you don’t like the salty taste, you can replace the filling with red bean paste for a great taste as well. You can also sprinkle white sesame seeds before frying for an added sesame aroma. This snack is perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, paired with a hot cup of coffee, it's truly delicious.

100g Plain flour 普通面粉
1 tsp Caster sugar 细砂糖
1 tsp Yeast 酵母

300g Plain flour 普通面粉
100g Caster sugar 细砂糖
1 tsp Salt 盐
1/2 tsp Baking powder 泡打粉
1/2 tsp Baking soda 苏打粉
150ml Water 清水
Alkaline water 碱性水 (optional)
1 tsp Cooking oil 食油

2 tsp Five spices powder 五香粉
1/2 tsp Salt 盐
1 tbsp Water 清水
