@straybenzes4 жыл бұрын
Hi David. What do you mean by the head light adjuster stopping? Do you mean the adjustment screws that let you adjust how high or low the headlights will shine?
@peterhandke39364 жыл бұрын
@@straybenzes I believe that David is referring to the EU market headlight vacuum powered adjusters. It is a button nextto the headlight switch allowing you to adjust them if you have a heavy load in your car or if you are towing a trailer. In order to prevent shining to the the oncoming traffic n the other side of the road. BTW, this would be illegal to do in EU. Only if you install headlight washers and auto headlight level adjusters.
@straybenzes4 жыл бұрын
@@peterhandke3936 That makes sense. The US version does not have this option at all - unfortunately.
@davidmatta71404 жыл бұрын
@Stray Benzes @Dean Deki true, perfectly described, we have the version with washers and the vacuum adjusted headlights, when i installed the led lights, i was unable to control them, therefore went back to old bulbs. Which someone still give it that vintage look. Hope the make a warm led that bright. I also have a back curtain problem, i can hear the motor turning but the actual curtain doesn't go up and down, it seems that teeth like plastic white in the tube is broken.

Very nice! I think just need to adjust the aim of the beams a little bit.
@straybenzes3 жыл бұрын
These bulbs come with a little Allen wrench that will allow for you to move the LED assembly so you can adjust the focus / beam. I am very pleased with the results. Nothing for purists, but great for folks who use their cars as daily drivers.

Interesting alternative to incandescent! I'll consider this as an option, but I'm concerned about heat. If the bulb fan fails but the light doesn't, then I could see the bulb fusing to the socket if it got too hot (?).
@straybenzes4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I was skeptical at first also especially as there is a lot of stuff that needs to be crammed back into the headlight housing. I did this on two cars and I have to say that heat has not been a problem and they have worked flawlessly since installation. The "bulbs" have built in fans to keep them cool. I would be more concerned about the wiring. Good luck however you decide how to proceed from here.

Hi Ralph You helped so much with my lighting problem; I was curious if you had any experience with rebuilding or a rebuilder for hydropneumatic SLS shocks. I have one on my 91 560SEC starting to weep. Thnx! F
@straybenzes Жыл бұрын
I honestly know of no way to rebuild those shocks. Unfortunately, the rod seal is not the only thing that wears on this part. Very often the internals are worn and no longer provide a smooth ride. There are a lot of cars still being parted out and you can get lucky finding good used parts.
@wernerdanler27424 жыл бұрын
Wow Ralph, that is a dramatic difference! I thought LEDs were supposed to run a lot cooler than regular bulbs, so why do they need a cooling fan? I also remember someone converting tail lights to LEDs and got a bulb out indicator because they draw a lot less juice. They had to put a resistor in the line. Maybe these have one built in? I hate buying Chinese stuff and do not understand why people cannot manufacture things here since most of this stuff is machine made. Lets see if they stand the test of time. Did you notice if they had bulbs for my 2001 e320? My lenses are covered with calcium deposits and I cannot get it off so that in itself would make a difference in my output. I think previous owners used tap water, with high mineral content, in the sprayer.
@straybenzes4 жыл бұрын
I am not sure why the cooling fans are needed, but the bulbs are not throwing a fault. I could not find any bulbs that were not made in China. Let's see how long these will last. Good luck with your E320. @straybenzes Жыл бұрын
Strangely enough, the light bulb indicator only goes off when you flash the high beams with the main lights on. That does not happen on the 300SDL. I have not devised a solution to this issue as the indicator does not provide a permanent nuisance alarm.
