I too have a 560 SEC and my understanding is that the lower lamps are fog lamps and not driving lights and so yellow is a preferred color for its ability to penetrate fog and illuminate a roadway that is wet.

I’ve got an 85 grey market 500sec that I’m wanting to improve the visibility for. You mention swapping out the bulbs to LED , do you have a video discussing that? I’ve been told it can cause issues with the electrical… great videos man!

Thank you. That’s correct, changing all exterior bulbs can cause a few issues. You’ll need resisters on front turn signals. Rear leds in tail lights can cause some things to act funny. More so on the early euro version than the us spec newer sec. Here’s my tail light setup. I may switch the red section back to halogen. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4DPpZivoLqZhMU But all of my interior is led. Rear license plate as well. And all exterior for now. Check out my latest 380sec videos.

Wow can't believe Mercedes put such a huge cap on the fog light bulbs. They're mounted so low anyway nobody would be blinded.

Yeah man, I agree. I removed them off my newest 380SEC as well.

Do leds cause errors or this car has no issues with that? Can you link to the kit you got specifically? Thanks fam..

LEDs are good for most components. Especially interior. Exterior….be careful with rear taillights. It will throw the systems off.

Have you tested the circuit to make sure 12v are being fed to the lights?
