W204 C63 AMG How to Replace Rear Deck Speaker/Subwoofer

Okay so basically we've had this audio issue for almost a year now, and been dragging this repair on for very long, finally decided to test this rear deck speaker and find what's going on with it! Yes it has failed, and we do need a new/used one $832 BRAND NEW LOL, Part Number is 204-820-57-02. Time to find a used one, wish me luck!

My subwoofer’s cone became detached and it makes a really awful sound when playing any kind of music so thanks for showing the whole tear down of removing your speaker. Now I know how much work I have ahead of me putting in a new one 🥲

I was at a junkyard that had a bunch of C and E classes, every single subwoofer was blown in the same spots and every single plastic grill atop the rear shelf was brittle. My theory is after years and years of sun baking down creating a greenhouse effect the paper gets dry and brittle or the glue holding the cone on disintegrates. There were 10 cars total with 810 package, all 10 were F’d up

I have a C63 507 coupe and the subwoofer makes a weird annoying sound even when there is no music played especially on bumpy roads when it rattles. I'm looking forward to your next vlog and if a new or used one is the solution.

Bro does your shelve rattle too? My whole rear shelf vibrates the metal pare there the subwoofer sits on and it’s so annoying, I don’t know if the subwoofer broke and it’s loose and vibrates the shelve. How do you tell if the subwoofer is damaged and needs replacing

I have the same problem on my 2011 e350 with the Harmon kardon, hopefully it's not blown, found one just in case out of a e550

Take all the panels and everything apart then turn on the audio system while everything is apart and see what you find
