my 06 merc done this 2 times in 2 months so not too often. but when it does it is pain in the ass. i noticed the central lock was working with low battery but it could not open trunk and key did not fit. luckily i found the box in front passenger feet well to connect battery. thanks for the video.

front fuse box has a big red wire also you can jump from. Kind of pain in the ass depending on the kind of clamp you have for you wires or jump pack.

Hello, I have a w211 that needs this done on the exact same fuse along with several others. I got everything I need but just don’t know how to get my wire to stay in the fuse box when I’m making my fuse bridge. Please let me know what I can do to get this done, thanks

How do you get the wire to stay in the fuse’s place? I see you’ve crimped something to make the wire stay

My Mercedes cls 500 is doing the same thing as well as the radio turns on and off when it wants to. My question is If I just get an aftermarket radio and get rid of the old one will that's stop me from having to use fuse #6 and stop the battery draining.

Audio gateway is a network of things. You would need to disable it but by doing so you will have a ton of messages as you drive. Take out the fuse and look at the message ceneter as you drive. A simple radio replacement will not fix tbe issue unless the radio its self is the culprit.

Hello my friend ! I also have this problem of the battery discharging while the car is at rest, so I looked everywhere, blamed the driver's seat electric computer, it wasn't that...then I saw your video on the bridging to be made between 6 and 7 in the trunk...the only problem is the diameter of the wire in terminal 7 which will therefore control the power supply of fuse 6 is it thick enough, because we are talking about 15A on terminal 7 while we are talking about 40 A on the power supply on terminal 6. have you had any feedback on this, could there be problems with overheating of the wire supplying terminal 7? What do you think ? in any case if this is indeed the fault, that would be great, I did the bypass, recharged my battery to full capacity (12.76 v) and will find out tomorrow morning>. Before you do bypass BUY a clamp meter that does DC current AMPERAGE. guessing game is not good. As far as wire thickness the fuse will burn out before this wire gets hot or even warm. Its from experience. Don't use a very thin wire though.

Ah you mean on the back of the fuse the wire is not as thick ss the original draw point of the fuse. Well 2 of the csrs I did. This to one 355 one e500 znd both are good no wire on the back of the box got cooked in any way.
